Im glad Jessica finally took responsibility for sex with Ford and she finally admitted/accepted that he's Liam's father.

I cant beelvie but I actually liked Cutter and Aubrey together. Too bad this episode just highlighted just how pointless they are. This should be leading to their exit

Todd and Vimal working together Its what I wanted since their first scene

I really feel bad for Brody.

Here's something else I don't understand.

I thought the show claimed that Ford's assault on Jessica and then Ford being bludgeoned was what made Ford feel guilty and become a better man.

Are they now saying that the same Ford who was so sleazy with Langston and the pizza girl and whoever else was a real gentleman with Jessica?

No, I think they're just saying he learned from his mistakes after the Jessica incident which is sort of true. But honestly, we all know Langston's love is what turned him around, it was never the Jessica issue which is what they're writing it to be.

I've re-watched the scenes many times over the past year and this never happened. Jessica actually tried to LEAVE multiple times but the pig manipulated her into staying and later into bed. OLTL can't be serious with this Ford crap. What played out on my screen was flat out RAPE, no doubt about it.

True, but now they're saying that he asked her dozens of times whether she wanted to have sex, and only after she reassured him dozens of times did he have sex with her. That is essentially saying he was some kind of sexual saint.

Ryan was never really a horrible guy, just a con artist and a shallow type (the most he did was use and discard women like Greenlee, who were pretty much soulless monsters). Ryan was one of those characters who became loathsome after the show decided to deify him.

Ford was pretty disgusting from the start.

Ah, right haha. What's worst to me is just two weeks ago Jessica straight up said to Ford he had sex with her without her consent. Is that not rape? Even if we didn't consider what he did rape, now Jessica's saying it's her fault since she has no control over her alters. Isn't the entire POINT of her alters to protect Jessica? Hence why Tess came out while SHE WAS BEING RAPED?! Not to mention they can't keep straight whether or not Jessica let Tess out or not. If she let her out while with Ford, doesn't that mean she willingly cheated on Brody? The questions just never end. This show is so beyond schizophrenic right now and it's literally every single storyline. Cris and Rama was also just completely dropped and whitewashed, TSJ is so OOC for whomever he's supposed to be. It's obvious the writers nearly shat themselves trying to speed up storylines after the cancellation announcement but there is NO logic in the progression what. so. ever. It's all plot point driven. A character will literally change his or her opinions and personality if a story arc - no, not even - an EPISODIC CONVERSATION needs some high drama. It's making me sick.

I think it's been this way since around 2009, honestly, exacerbated with the great purge of early 2010. No long-term story plans, horrible non-development of characters, bizarre tonal issues, writing that is patronizing as hell, terrible story progression, and soullessness all around (you can see that most with Bo/Nora scenes - they were such a fun couple the first time around). But it does seem like cancellation has just made it even worse. It's telling that the only moments which get praise are the "soapy" scenes of people in hysterical breakdown mode or acting like a$$holes in bad camp.

Then again the ratings are going up so what do I know?

I agree about the stuff with TSJ Todd. They have Roger Howarth staggering around aimlessly for months while Todd is close to making out with Vimal. I'd rather see Todd/Vimal making out than anything else on the show at this point, frankly...

Yeah, you're right, it's been like this for a while but it's DEFINITELY worse right now. If they get their heads out of their asses by September I'll forgive them but if they pursue Ford and Jessica as endgame? I probably won't watch. It's not that I'm that disgusted by the couple, it's just how they treat their audience that's repulsing me right now. If only I'd woken up sooner haha.

The show overall is quite entertaining if you like absurd soapy camp which obviously a lot of people do  That doesn't make it well-written or respectful in any sense of the word. Just the fact that Robin Strasser is clearly pinching herself trying to stay awake long enough to say her lines in her atrocious storyline with the buffon should say enough. Howarth is the ONLY bright spot for me right now and I didn't even watch his original runs. I just find him magnetic on screen and his non-involvement in the horrendous stories makes me identify with him

Side note, I really enjoy your posts. :)

Here's something else I don't get.

If the show is now saying that Jessica controls all her alters and everything they do is what she wants, doesn't that mean she wanted to get rid of Liam, when Wes let Marty go with Liam?

I guess it's a comfort she didn't kill this baby, as she did her own.

    • Jason, just let me say that it was not my intent to any way impugn any of your data  or research. I'm very sorry if it came out that way. Obviously the person I got these 4 November episodes from has mislabeled files, multiples, which I was certainly unaware of.  When I am editing it is all about what I see & hear. Later, I find time for greater reflection.  Of course, I was suspicious from the very first instance where what I saw & heard did not agree with what it should have.  I'm very glad to know why.
    • I feel like Vernon and Anita need to not be hypocrites and try and take the heat off Bill in this case. It's clear that the family used him as a fixer and especially knowing he helped with Martin's situation, they need to either be quiet or support him. BTW...with Vanessa being in the hospital for food poisoning, am I the only one who thought Shanice was gonna say she's pregnant or had an STD? The only reason I say STD is because she hasn't had any memorable sex partners, but I definitely don't believe she just had food poisoning.
    • Yeah, I mean I know that the name still pertains. I just laugh at it not now being called Arizona Dust, but, I admit it simply does not have the same ring to it. Above, that is interesting that Arizona had already come up before the crisis.
    • Leslie and her family are from Chicago? Anita's background also includes being a former Chi-Town native? Might they connect this and go somewhere with it?
    • Honestly who's to say Leslie even birthed Eva, I mean she's a liar, I wouldn't believe a word she says about Eva being Ted's(or hers)
    •   1. 11/1/83 cast/set list:

Please register in order to view this content

The "11/2/83" video you posted of Ruth Buzzi's scenes includes Roman and Hope in them, meaning the video you posted is actually 11/1/83, since Roman and Hope aren't in 11/2/83.   2. The video you posted of "11/2/83" has scenes with Roman and Hope. As you can see from my cast/set list, Roman and Hope are not in the 11/2/83 episode (see above note):   4573...11/2/83: Cast: Mickey, Julie, Doug, Maggie, Neil, Don, Marie, Alex, Liz, Andre as Tony, Gwen, Chris, Eugene, Sandy, Letitia, Charlene, Mrs. Whiting, Wanda/Guard, Dave, Delia, Saleslady # 1, Saleslady # 2, Figure in Dark, Raven/animal, Cats/animals, Birds/animals.   2.  11/3/83 :My video collection starts with 11/4/83. so I don't have the 11/1/83 or 11/3/83 video, but in addition to the cast/set list for 11/3/83, here is also the parking clearance call sheet for that day, showing Ruth was not only in the cast/set list but did work that day:     They even had hired the animal trainer and all the animals for the day, so It's sort of a certainty that her scenes were not cut that day, or it would have been a big waste of the budget. 3. As for 11/7/83, I just fast-forwarded through that whole episode myself. Letitia is in it from start to finish. It's her big final episode where she is killed. She starts the episode saying "Eugene, are you there?" In the next act, Marlena shows up and meets Letitia's lion. Later in the episode, Letitia is killed by "Eugene" (the Salem Slasher in a Eugene mask).   So, as we can see from your own post, the 11/2/83 date you have listed on that video is incorrect, since Hope and Roman are in that video but not in the 11/2/83 episode. It seems the dates you have on all your early November 1983 episodes are incorrect.   When you post videos and suggest that my data is incorrect, do you not first compare who is in the scenes and see if that matches who is in the episode? You didn't do that with the "11/2/83" episode, which based on Roman and Hope being in it means that is actually 11/1/83. Best to do something like that first before suggesting my data and research is incorrect.
    • Within the Dupree family, I predict Vernon/Anita will be conflicted about what to do about Bill and his role in the whole Ted/Silk Press Sheila situation... especially since Bill knows where the particular bone about Martin is buried. Dani, Chelsea, and Naomi's reactions to what Bill possibly did isn't hard to guess.. but Hayley's reactions will be interesting to hear.  Especially given her recent pregnancy scare.. she might not be so much on Bill's side, or she'll totally surprise us and be totally on Bill's side.   Either way, I think Martin's secret will be the main focus in May sweeps.. with the fall out of the Eva secret playing out in the background... while the Joey/Vanessa/Doug thing continues to boil/develop.
    • Hotel was The Love Boat on land but a little soapier. I will forever maintain that Hotel was a time slot hit. I don't believe that 1983/84 Hotel was a better show than Knots Landing.
