Seeing this classic episode really does validate aĺl the harsh criticism of today's Y&R, that it so rightly deserves. From the beautiful direction, camera work, extras in the background, the use of multiple sets, demonstrate how sorely lacking and pathetic what we are seeing today.
I didn't watch Y&R regularly back then, however, I always kept an eye on the show. I think I have watched all the episodes since 2015/2016. The different regimes over the years have all tried to leave their marks, modernizing the show, but failing and stripping the show of it's true identity.
Josh Griffith needs to go. There should be no ifs, ands or buts he needs to go, literally right now.
