I've been dipping my toes into 1987 back again... just scrolling through episodes and watching more important scenes... I am crying, laughing and getting goosebumps... like... every single episode. It's SOOOO good. It's so strange how with time you actually forget how good the show was, you get accustomed to the lower standard...

Sheila - So Stephanie who's crazy now, who's crazy now, as she laughs and sips champagne while they pan to Stephanie in the mental institution rocking back and forth in that chair.

Man when this show is good it's GOOD.

Sheila and Grant had some good chemistry

Hopefully the Angel is able to upload some more of Season 10 to keep us going.

There's 40ish episodes left to complete Season 10 in the vault. Real shame the youtube channel jumped from the end of season 8 to season 13. There's a lot of people there left hanging wanting to see season 9 and the bridging seasons.

Yes. Luckily it's already in the Vault (and complete from what I could see).

Yes, I'm hoping for more S10 uploads from Videoland! I do have Videoland but don't have a very good way of saving the episodes in good quality (I used to do screen recordings but the quality was uneven).

It's odd that the yt channel decided to skip to S13, but the good part is that they uploaded in better quality and three episodes a day, so it completes the collection sooner. Pretty soon with some luck we'll have almost complete from 1987 to early 00s, which in my opinion is the classic era.

There was a rumor they'd start again from Season 1 in HD, but that remains to be seen. In the meantime, it would be great for them to continue covering through to Season 18 (where they sort of started putting older episodes up), and hopefully fill in all the missing episodes along the way, so they're all available in English. The biggest dream would be for them to upload all of the seasons in HD, replacing existing inferior quality episodes. It does seem they want the channel to succeed with them having the actors preview each month now, so hopefully that is their plan.

I had Videoland for years, until their PayPal payment stopped in January this year. I don’t have a Dutch credit card to continue the payments. All other European credit cards fail, they only permit cards issued in the Netherlands.

Unfortunately i found out that paypal is not an option too. I wonder if the so called virtual credit cards are. Some sites does not recognize european virtual credit cardts as european and allow transactions. Not that i have one to check.

Videoland is only about 300 episodes before the HD Youtube 1999 episodes... In just half a year they will catch up with them and by that time Youtube will be in late 2003. Just in half a year... Most of the 1987-2003 period will be complete. I think what Bold did is groundbreaking.... to sell their entire catalogue from day 1 to new platforms and television stations - multiple ones. The Youtube channel, as much as we criticized it, is also revolutionary. Bold is now the first 9000+ episode American soap opera that has basically uploaded and made their entire run available. That's nearly 40 seasons and thousands of hours of video material. Now I hope Y&R sees this great example and finds a way to stream their show from DAY 1.

    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
    • Thanks. I know Marland did that type of thing sometimes but it's less likely with these characters. I don't even remember Alex ever mentioning him.
    • French fan summary Rusty took over Simon's job at Lewis Trucking after Simon transferred to Lewis Oil's North Carolina office to live near Jessie and Calla. I doubt they would bother following up a story for offscreen characters eg marriage and a baby.
    • I suspected that the performance with the reveal was the reason why the Ted actor got the axe and it looks like I was right. He wasn't really good at conveying what needed to be conveyed in those scenes. Claybon is at least slowly improving (but I agree that he still needs to work on his line delivery), but I do wonder what will happen when his big reveal is coming up.
    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
    • Nicole is way too smart to not know she was carrying twins - she's a doctor! My guess is that Leslie did abort her baby out of fear, and as payback, stole Ted and Nicole's child (Eva), and stole Kat from another family to replace her in the hospital.
