All: Single Scenes You Think Should Have Won An Actor/Actress an Emmy

There are quite a few scenes that come to my mind where I think "This scene alone should have won him/her an Emmy". Do you guys every have that?

CLARIFICATION: This is a thread for posting video clips AND discussing your reasoning, so it doesn't get bumped to Video Bash.

Here are a few that come to mind for me:

GH: Skye on the Witness Stand (Robin Christopher)

I think Robin Christopher gave one of the shows best performances of this century right here. Nobody can play a drunk like Robin. I really felt her heart breaking, and mine broke right there with her. When she screams "You worthless whore" and when the flask falls out of her purse are two of the strongest moments for me. Robin was ROBBED. Vanessa, who came back for what 4 months, got an Emmy for a storyline that was only good because of Robin C/Ted King.

GH: Tracy - I Want My MOMMY! (Jane Elliott)

Truly one of the best, most heartbreaking scenes on soaps in recent years. Jane Elliot, as ALWAYS gave a superb performance. I cry every single time. The only damper on the scene was that horrible Edward recast. But Jane's portrayal of a broken Tracy, making every attempt to save face, gets me every time. Jane is consistently one of the strongest actresses in daytime, and is unfairly neglected year after year.

GH: Tony Tells Bobbie BJ Is Brain Dead (Jackie Zeman)

This is one of the best storylines of all time. Obviously the most iconic scene is Felicia falling to her knees, but Jackie gave it her all in every performance. When she says "No...Oh, no." my heart sinks. What I loved about this is how real it felt. The actors all played it in such a raw way, and it didn't feel like a storyline. It felt like I was watching Jackie/Bobbie literally losing a daughter. It moves me to tears everytime. 1995 was Jackie's year for that Emmy. I love Rena Sofer, but even she knew that year belonged to Jackie.

But I know what you mean, it wouldn't be a SoapBoy post without me promoting Jackie. Even if I wasn't the Bobbie fan that I am, this scene would still deserve an emmy IMO. This one is about the acting, not about my obsession with interest in the character.

I always thought Susan Lucci did amazing during this scene on AMC back in May 2009 (it starts at beginning of clip). I don't think she was really recognized for it....any time the show brings up Mona in the writing, Susan always hits it out of the park. The scenes from this January where Erica had that break down in front of Kendall were amazing and Erica talked heavily about Mona and how she wished she had her to lean on right now, very similar to how she's feeling in this clip...

I thought she was particularly good that whole first half of 2009 starting with Josh dying and his heart going to Kendall.

Maurice Benard should've taken home the Emmy last year for Lead Actor after those BONE CHILLING scenes he had opposite SJB at Claudia's birthday party!!

"DONT YOU EVEN MENTION MY SON, AFTER WHAT YOU DID TUH HIM, YOU PSYCHOTIC PIECE OF TRASH!!" OMG! The way he said that to Claudia. IMO that was some of his best work on GH..

I couldn't really get behind that scene because by that point I was so used to GH revolving around men calling women useless whores. The humiliation aspect of it ruined any emotional impact that the scene could have had.

If Sonny truly cared about avenging his son, he would have just taken care of it in private. Instead the whole thing was about him degrading and humiliating a mentally ill woman.

It was a good episode, yes, but only because SJB put effort into her scenes as she always did.

Not to mention that Mo did his same scream/dead eyes thing that he always does in "powerful" scenes.

Always always always the scene where Iris tells Mac she was The Chief. Doug Watson deserved an Emmy. It's just a heartbreaking performance, and some of it, especially when he tells her that the Iris he knew and loved is dead, stays with me every day.

And the part where he begs her to stop and his voice fills with tears :(

Really? I think he should have submitted his coming out scene with Holden and Lily. To this day I don't know why he (supposedly) chose the confrontation with Damian at the airport. Van had a tendency sometimes to go over the top, and that scene was a perfect example of that for me.

But in these scenes he was phenomenal:
