Considering he had no problem in letting Tess ignore any prenatal care (which led to her stillbirth), and he laughed when he learned Jessica had been raped, I doubt he meant it.

And are people saying Howarth would've reacted differently in his time?

Hahaha

He probably would have, yes. He was always fond of Jessica.

I've never seen Howarth as Todd but has Todd always been cavalier about his family outside of his immediate family? I don't know his history with any of them, including Viki.

After RH Todd learned Viki was his sister and actually got to know her, he became close to her. She was the only person he had any real respect for and could talk to. He sometimes used her (like when he faked DID) but it was never on the level of today's Todd, where the show wants us to think it's wonderful that he nearly kills both of Viki's daughters and he laughs at their pain, while Viki sits around fixing him up.

Gotcha, thanks. I see Todd's giggling as more of a defense mechanism but that's JMO.

Of course Tess is FINALLY getting carted off and this will be about Ford and his hurt feelings for not being able to save his woman.

I mean, we know where this is going. Eventually he'll give up Tess and his love for her to save Jessica, heartbroken. Jessica will learn what happened and fall for Ford. LIKEOMG, HOW ROMANTIC!

RH era Todd was more reactionary from a place of pain, a snarky live wire, whereas TSJ era Todd is more of a flippant jerk.

Exactly, it is all about him. And Jessica is such a weakling joke now they've written her to a point where she hardly deserves better. Isn't that sad??
