OMG Cheap - did you just make a comparison between Aiden Turner and Simon Cowell??? That is DISGUSTING...lol - but the shirt and overall look I can kinda see...but dang...Aiden is hot, Simon is not! Now if Aiden and Ryan Seacrest want to get together - that'd be nice....lol - it wouldn't surprise be in the least with either of them going that way....

Maybe I am in the minority but I am one of the few Melissa fans out there. I actually like her voice alot. She has a very rich soothing sulty tone to her voice and her voice is like no other. I believe Melissa has gotten the short end of the stick is because she was barely featured in the early rounds which made her disconnect with audiences more. I was not a big Ayla fan and thought her performance last week stunk but I actually like Melissa. I think she is one of the better singers in the competition. I actually think she is way stronger of a singer then Kellie Pickler. Ms. Picker though has gotten tons of airtime galore and everyone thinks she is so darn cute. I think her voice is completely average and she was always a poor man's Carrie Underwood to me. She has never done anything for me period. Katherine I cannot put my finger on it, I just cannot conect with her. She is a good singer but there is something off about her. Lisa is a good singer but she has bored me to tears for weeks with her boring songs. So I am in a small minority but I really like Melissa alot and if she had gotten half the airtime Paris, Kellie, or Katherine got that she would have a bigger fanbase.

I wanted to squish Kevin too... just to shut him up... Is he oblivious or he is playing up to the camera? I just can't believe it.

Kellie on the other hand is totally playing it up for the camera. "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" "They're not REAL tarantulas!" Oh brother

Ace's performance was a mess, it was all over the place... Lisa is very boring, there's nothing special about her. Paris has energy, but I am getting flashes of a not so annoying Fantasia in her. Bucky did okay, he picked the right song, but no way is he the best of the competition. Taylor was okay, but his gimmick is getting old very fast. Katharine did well again, but there were a few bad spots. Melissa was okay also, but her voice is not as strong as it could be and her personality isn't high up there either, I think its lack of airtime though. Chris is just blah for me. He's fine as in okay, but nothing special either.

Let me finish my assessments, LOL.

Chris - he did good but not as great as the past couple of weeks. It just was "aight" for me. Not the best last night but still the best male in the competition.

Oh I agree about Kellie. I mean she gives a good laugh and shes cute but the act is getting old FAST. I thought she sucked last night and in any real competition she'd probably be toast but because she is so LOVED (Gag) she'll sail through when she she really shouldn't. Same for Kevin.

I really dont know who is going home tonight. I mean, Melissa, Bucky and Kevin could be. But then in polls Lisa and Paris arent that well liked, although I think their performances helped them.

But in a PERFECT world and if this wasn't more about popularity... I would wish Ace, Kellie, Kevin, Bucky and Melissa be the next five out. They were the worst out of all of them but that was based on THAT NIGHT's performance.

We'll see. LOL.

But on the AOL poll, here's how it stands:

1. Katharine (thank god)

2. Kellie (ugh)

3. Chris (good)

4. Taylor (good)

5. Mandisa (arg should be #2)

6. Elliot (not surprising)

7. Bucky (whoa!)

8. Ace (good)

9. Lisa (eh)

10. Kevin (ugh too high)

11. Melissa (too low)

12. Paris (way too low)

Now tell me the teenybopper 13 year olds arent stuffing this aol thing. LOL.

Oh and the MSNBC polls are much better (i dont think theyve changed much since last week):

1. Chris (31%)

2. Taylor (16%)

2. Mandisa (16%)

4. Kellie (10%)

5. Katharine (7%)

6. Ace (6%)

7. Elliot (5%)

8. Paris (4%)

9. Bucky (3%)

10. Lisa (2%)

11. Kevin (1%)

12. Melissa (1%)

But its interesting to note that the top 5 are the same in each poll (just a little different rankings). I really do think that this is how it will turn out, or at least come very close to it. We'll see though. Theres bound to be at least one or two upsets. I hated Constantine last year but was shocked he was gone (Scott should of gone though) and Nadia was done in by her poor song choices cause she rocked. Vonzell just managed to wow us more.

Wow those poll results are really interesting, thanks for sharing them. I am surprised to see Paris so low I think she sings good and is cute and she's my 6 year olds fav so I hope she doesn't go for awhile. I thought Katharine, Mandisa, and Paris were the best girls last night and Chris and Taylor were the best guys. I think Elliott has a good voice but he does nothing for me his performances are boring, same thing for Lisa although she finally showed a little personality last night. I think Bucky and Melissa will be in the bottom two and not sure who else, if we are lucky Kellie but maybe Kevin, although I think he has enough fan base to stick around for awhile.

Ok after watching rest of my tape:

Melissa was bad, Lisa was ok but boring, and Kevin - are you kidding? Kevin being there is a joke....he's so stiff too - i hate that hand he puts up throughout his whole performance. Oh and who's idea was it to put lipstick on a little boy? Simon is so right with his assessment of Kevin - APPALLING.

Katharine did an AWESOME job.

Taylor was ok - but I'm tired of him moving around like Ray Charles and yelling "HEY!" throughout his songs....but he did pretty well tonight.

Paris was GOOD!

Chris was ok for me...not best of night though!

Paris and Taylor have unique sounds that would definitely benefit them more had there been a competition like this a decade or two ago. Their sounds won't fly during this time and age. But they're two of the most talented, IMO.

This season is weird. It's like Chris, Paris, Mandisa, Lisa, and Taylor are all good. I'm not sure who is more talented than who or who has a better voice than who. I enjoy Chris' performances the most, but let's be honest, it's his song choices. He doesn't have the best voice. But he has the It/X factor they talk about. They're all kind of on the same plain talent wise. It should be an interesting final 6. I think this season is going to be filled with upsets.

What makes you think she's "playing it up for the camera". That is just how Kellie is, like it or not. I hate when people say that she's fake just because she is so ditzy.. I love Kellie. She wasn't great last night, her singing was alright, but the song just..wasn't her at all. As she said, she didn't know what she was doing. That's not her genre of music. Give her some slack.

Besides that though, Taylor was awesome last night! LOVED him. And of course Chris was great. Everyone kinda sucked last night..I didn't really LOVE anyone's performance last night except Taylors, he cracks me up..I love him!

And. Will. :(

    • I think they’re desperately trying to cover his awful tattoos. But anyway them being unable to style short kings properly has been a major pet peeve of mine for a while now.  I honestly don’t understand what some people expect from actors to even begin considering them for recognition. Let’s be real—awards mostly mean that an actor is respected by their peers and has some level of cultural relevance. Actual judgment on the acting itself? That’s often secondary—highly subjective and shaped by the times. I completely agree on both points. If you’re an actor or a dancer you shouldn’t get any tattoos (sorry not sorry). Tomas’ tattoos are ugly too. And regarding the couples- you’re completely right. These writers are unable to write romance.   Further comments: - Kat cannot be this dumb to keep tampering with evidence over and over again. And I’m officially not a fan of the actress—every time she’s in a scene with Leslie, she doesn’t seem intimidated at all. She plays it like comic relief, which is just too much, especially when paired with Leslie’s histrionics and over-the-top antics. Leslie is older, dangerous, and has literally been portrayed as homicidal—Kat should be at least a little scared. • I also didn’t like Kat playing damsel in distress with the hotel manager. It gave off the same weird energy as Dani with the cop. I would’ve much preferred the version Paul Raven suggested, with her sneaking in through housekeeping. • And yes, Dani again accused Hayley of faking the pregnancy—this time even specifying she might be using a pillow under her shirt. (No fake miscarriage being mentioned) I stand by my take: this is ridiculous writing. No one in the real world—except us, the chronically online soap watchers—would even think of such a conspiracy theory. Haley is no Beyoncé. • What in the world was Chelsea wearing in her hair the other day? And this whole thing with Madison is beyond cringe. Chelsea’s coming off as needy and toxic—basically like every other Dupree. • I’m glad the casino storyline is moving forward, but it’s still boring as hell. Honestly, I’d be so here for a plot twist where Vanessa and Doug take Joey out. • The direction and editing lately have been rough. Abrupt cuts, weird pacing… something just feels off overall. There’s a strange uneasiness to how it’s all coming together. • And finally: Tomas is too much of a saint. Where are the messy sluts when you need them? (Vanessa doesn’t count.)
    • Andrew sure has hard nips.
    • I was watching some August 1987 episodes and they brought back so many memories. I had some thoughts: Lisa and Jamie were so dull. Lisa was such a nothing character. It boggles my mind that so much story was centered around her in such a short amount of time. Joanna Going is a talented actress, but the material was just not there.  It was so good to see Wallingford and Mitch again. I know there was talk about Felicia a while back, but these episodes reminded me how integral Felicia was for the show.  Sally Spencer was done so dirty. She is turning in superb performances in an icky storyline. I wish she had stuck around longer. She has chemistry with everyone. The McKinnons should have lasted longer. Spencer had some strong stuff with Stephen Schnetzer and Mary Alexander. AW waster such a talented actress by getting rid of her. Justice for Cheryl too. I also missed Ed Fry when he left. Sandra Ferguson was a star from the moment she came on. She was charismatic and just popped. She had immediate chemistry with RKK and blended in well with Wyndham and Watson. I'd forgotten about the teenage Matthew.  I have no memory of Peggy Lazarus. She must not have lasted long. Was the original plan for John that he was going to turn out to be the twins' real father?
    • If the new and improved copies that @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded can be manually moved into the "by month, by year" folders, that would be awesome. I personally don't think it's necessary to keep the older versions (which either have Dutch subtitles hard coded on them, or are lesser in picture quality). That's a lot of valuable drive space that could be cleared. Just my view but can appreciate others may feel differently. The structure had been by month by year previously, so I think it would be easier to conform to that, where so much prior work to get it to that format has already been done. Hopefully you can "drag and drop" so the new copies are in the right month/year? Re Clips, I never look at them now we pretty much have the episodes in full. Appreciate others may use, however. Thanks for all your hard work here @BoldRestless!
    • Oh yes defintely, Josh Griffith repeats and repeats the same storylines.
    • Isnt’t this storyline similar to the Cameron Kirsten situation though? Sharon thought she killed him. He ended up being alive and Sharon was being tormented with thinking she was seeing his face everywhere and that’s how we got that iconic scene with her and Nikki in the sewers.   I understand in Mariah’s case this is different circumstances but it does seem like a play on that whole thing. Maybe I’m wrong. I just wish if they were going to make any character follow in Sharon’s foot steps it would be Faith. Mariah wasn’t even raised by her, and her personality is different. I would expect her to take a different path. I understand I could be completely jumping ahead because the storyline hasn’t even played out yet but we’ll see.
    • Thanks again @Paul Raven Monica was completely without redeeming qualities at this point. I always found the whole Monica = Carly narrative regressive, as I don't think shows comparing characters so heavily is ever a great idea, but she's actually worse than Carly was. Was it the Pollocks who had Leslie have a miscarriage?  Giving her a child, especially by rape, was not a good idea, but a part of me wishes they'd committed to it just to see what story it might have had in later years.
    • @janea4old Your detailed explanation and delving into the psychology and motivations is no doubt the opposite of what we will see onscreeen. As @ranger1rg stated we will get a few scenes and some sketchy explanations. Like the adoption of Aria, most of it will take place off screen.
    • I'm suddenly fearful that DAYS is going to pull a Flowers-for-Algernon stunt and Bo's progress will be reversed.  While @te. is stuck on Abe's tiny bedroom, I can't stop thinking of the size of Bo's huge hospital room.
    • Okay, why are Paulina and Abe sleeping like that?!  I'd take a screen grab if I wasn't lazy, but come on.
