May 2, 201114 yr Member This is very distasteful. I wonder if we will get some ha ha moments over Wes and Brody accidentally killing a child? Why not. Jessica's abuse is nothing more than a bad joke to RC and FV. I wonder how much United States of Tara they watch. I also wonder if this will be used to make Brody go psycho so we can be reminded, again, of the superiority of John, Ford, and Cookie Cutter.
May 2, 201114 yr Member Just this time Khan, OLTL fans will not be blaming AMC, but DAYS, for unleashing that hack Higley into the soap industry, who gave Jessica DID in the first place.
May 2, 201114 yr Member But don't you see Khan....Lorraine Broderick was a protege of Agnes's on AMC, who left AMC to write Days, who didn't impress Corday so he fired her, which eventually, years down the road led to the hiring of Dena Higley, which prompted OLTL to hire her as HW, thus she created Tess. IT'S ALL AMC'S FAULT!!!!! But back on topic....Wes? Really? I'm not waiting in anticipation of seeing BW try play a male personality, she already sucks as Tess and Bess. I can only imagine how badly she'll fumble this stuff. Edited May 2, 201114 yr by MichaelGL
May 2, 201114 yr Member Yeah, try and blame AMC for this [!@#$%^&*], I dare ya, lol! They can have the doppelganger, we'll take an alter on AMC. I'm waiting for "Candi" to appear and start tearing sh!t up in Pine Valley.
May 2, 201114 yr Member I can hardly wait to see this for all the wrong train wrecked reasons! Is she gonna tie her hair up or carry around a Sharpie to draw on facial hair like Cutter like Bess' glasses? I would not at all be surprised if FV/RC went for a homoerotic moment with Wes and Ford (Ford kisses Tess then Wes emerges "Dude! Get off me what are you queer or somethin'? Hey I mean 'not that there's anything wrong with that'...").

May 2, 201114 yr Member I love good soapy camp as much as the next person, but, and maybe this sounds too PC, I really find their dealing with mental health issues as one big joke incredibly offensive. I understand that they want to be provocative and edgy, which is cool, but this is just in really bad taste. It's tough to watch because it's so damn insulting.

You're not being too PC, you're hitting the nail on the head. Other than Shane's bullying, which is continuing, and Brody's breakdown(which was mediocre at best), the show has failed miserably when it comes to mental health stories and handling them the way they should be. In regards to Jessica alone, anytime they revisit the DID, it's simply for the sake of plot. Edited May 2, 201114 yr by MichaelGL

It's not even about plot that offends me - after all OLTL got a superb plot out of Viki/Niki in 1985 without delving into deep psychology - as it is the way they write this so luridly and they seem to get off on what Jessica goes through. It's not hot or sexy or fun.
