Members amybrickwallace
I think it was 1990 or so. Opal somehow got locked inside the Martin attic and found a skeleton wearing a cap with the name "Bobby" stitched onto the front, and a pair of skis was right next to the skeleton. I think it was just done as an in-joke to longtime AMC viewers, and to have fun with the urban legend of Bobby Martin.
Members EnglishTea
I think the Valley Inn became prominent in the early 1990's after the demise of the Chateau.
Members amybrickwallace
How long did The Goal Post restaurant last?
Members Steve
Until Tom's daughter Laura was killed by a drunk driver in 1988. Tom sold it and opened a health club because he didn't want to be serving alcohol after her death.
Members ellabelle
The Valley Inn was definitely around in the late 80s because Jack both lived there and somehow ran a law office out of his hotel suite as well. I'm not sure when the hotel or its restaurant and terrace were first used as sets though.

Members EnglishTea
Yes, I think the Valley Inn was around in the late 80's - I'm think the first time the outdoor terrace was shown was the Summer of 1991 although the interior might have been shown prior.
Members EricMontreal22
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was one of the new FMBehr sets...
Members EricMontreal22
I think the Pine Cone came in the early 80s along with Opal, etc. Of course even back then they made the same distinction that they did in the 70s--that Pine Valley was mostly a nice, well off suburb and if they had drugs or street gangs they would be in Center City (Foxy's where Opal made her daughter work, was there...)
Members cct
Didn't the Goal Post become McKay's?
Members Steve
No. McKay's was around since the 1970s. There's a classic clip of a teenage Erica and Chuck having a burger there where he teases her about having to be the center of the universe. I think it was shown in the 20th anniversary show, but I might be mistaken about that.
Members EricMontreal22
The episode it's featured in was one of the ones on the I Love Lucci Marathon I believe (if not, then it was the one shown on Daytime to Remember--there are those five 1970-71 B&W episodes floating around out there and I get them mixed up.)

Members allmc2008
Also, I never knew what McKay's was until now. I also didn't realize that establishment from that 1970 episode went on for so long. Can someone show me a video of McKay's from later on? When did it dissapear/leave?? Also, when was BJ's introduced?
