I honestly am just filled with so much anger. Brian Frons can go suck on an A S S H O L E. And I don't care if saying that jacks up my warning level. F U C K you and the white horse you rode in on, you prick.

I wonder what changed for OLTL to bet the ax. They were on an upswing. And If this decision was mad a year ago WHY MOVE AMC TO THE WEST COAST???!!!!!

Jus tto waste money? The mind boggles.

I figured that AMC would be off the air by the end of the year. I thought that OLTL had a shot of surviving for a few more years. I guess I was wrong.

It will be interesting to see if DAYS can survive until its 50th anniversary.

At this point I have no confidence in any network keeping their remaining soaps. I see DAYS being canceled once its contract expires in 2013. Unless NBC picks up a new soap which will likely never happen then DAYS is definitely going away unfortunately.

2013 will likely be the last year for American soaps.

Well, I'm glad they didn't combine them. What would have been one hell of a hot mess...

To me OLTL was watchable...AMC was not. But I agree it would have been a hot mess had they combined the two shows.

So now we are left with 3 1/2 soaps.

Think how many people from ABC Victor will marry before Y&R ends.

Lucci, HBS, KDP, Gina Tognoni, Florencia Lozano, Robin Strasser, Bobbie Eakes.

And that's just for starters.

MAB will probably hire Susan to be the new Lorie Brooks...she will hire Brittany Allen to be the new Sheila.

You know Maria is going to snatch her up.

I don't either Eric. Remember. This was the same guy who played God on Santa Barbara.

I really don't get why ABC still has him as their Daytime head. While I don't pretend that the soaps would have had much longer without him really, has he done one thing for them to help them money wise (not to mention creative wise)--as was mentioned moving AMC hardly was a cost saving measure to cancel it this soon.

I wonder will they be tributes on the Upcoming Daytime Emmy Awards ? HMMM

I doubt it. Its on CBS. CBS didnt even give ATWT a good send off.

Or will Soapnet do ANYTHING? Marathon? Maybe a 30 second commercial spot? :P

Susan Lucci as the New Sheila Carter....watch Maria hire her for the role.

She wouldn't waste SuLu on a recast.

I just found this on YouTube

the opening of OLTL from the day of my birth :( Sniff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-iOHm_b-qg

I was in the first grade and that was a very good Transformers and G.I. Joe-filled Christmas.

Which brings me to what Khan was saying... this goodbye is goodbye to a very warm chapter of my childhood. I started watching again, if only half-watching, when I lost my mom and the stories have been a pleasant if only subliminal reminder of her. At least the next time I see her I can say, "Oh Ma, you didn't miss that much. ^_^ "

I broke the news to my grandma a little while ago and she was surprisngly nonplussed about it seeing as how my grandparents could probably count on their four hands combined the number of episodes they've missed over the past 30 years. I sense that it had become routine, at times even an albatross. I think I needed her reaction. We'll miss it, but we know that we already got the best it was ever going to offer.
