AMC and OLTL Canceled!

Man that's sad to watch. I know that there are people who believe that she was lying when she said the show wouldn't be canceled but this just confirms to me that she was lied to. I think a lot of people can identify with being told that everything is fine right up to the very minute the hammer comes down.

Kinda sad to see her cry but it still pisses me off that NO ONE has done a interview with 6 time Emmy winner Erika Slezak

Maybe someone will do it after AMC is off the air.

Part of me asks this question, b/c La Lucci has 40+ yrs. of experience, was that crying on cue or real emotions.

That interview was strange. When Lucci cried were there any actual tears? But forget that, who is that horrible interviewer? No matter what Lucci was talking about, they cut away to these obviously inserted reaction shots of this woman where she is grinning like she is listening to a joke and waiting for the punchline.

That's because for good or for bad, SUSAN LUCCI is the story. She makes news. Not AMC. Not OLTL. Not Erika Slezak. Etc. If not for Lucci, news of the cancellations would've been a minor blip without any legs.

Understandably, I think that Susan (and JHC) wanted to believe that it wasn't true even as the rumors grew stronger.

Real or cue, Susan does all so well. She is The Diva, La Lucci.

Hmm....on Saturday I was as close as I'll probably ever get to OLTL Head Writer Ron Carlivati and I didn't even know it. LOL

Looking at the pictures on his Facebook page, he was in Louisville at the Kentucky Derby, which is only about an hour's drive from my house.

It's a small world. :P

Michael Fairman has interviewed her. And she has a newsletter at erikaslezak.com. But as for interviewing, Erika will NEVER talk bad about anyone. She's way too classy! Erika is a class act. She doesn't need to talk bad about anyone. What's done is done. Talking bad about anyone won't change a thing.

Yes, and Michael Logan interviewed her back in February, and asked her about the rumors that OLTL might be cancelled...to which she had a pretty interesting comment.

I am so mad that y'all made a gif of that woman crying.

Nancy looks like a grinning idiot in the beginning.

I can't shake the feeling that they'll have the gall to court her and other disenfranchised soap stars for good faith appearances on the new shows. I hope every offer is turned down. You just know they'll have the GH stars on there, Bradford Anderson making "Spinelli and Meat Balls" on The Chew and [!@#$%^&*]. "Start by boiling a pot of water as annoyingly as possible..."

If I may vote for most random return, I would love to see Erica's assistant Val pop back up again. Just because.

I want Joan! We never saw Erica's old assistant @ Enchantment on-screen (that I know of) but her incompetent "antics" always cracked me up, lol.

Whenever we get the reports on that food program's crappy ratings, I'm gonna print 'em out, grind the paper into a fine powder, and short that sh!t like this is 80s New York.

LOL saw this on SID's FB page:

Our AMC editor just chatted with Stephanie Gatschet (Madison). Her one true regret about the show ending: Madison won't get a lesbian scene with Bianca!
