Perhaps it's due to the weather?

I still think hosting a reality/competition series related to beauty or fashion should be Lucci's next move. It's "current," it keeps her in the public eye in a way that wouldn't be degrading (I hope), and thanks to her loyal following, it has a built-in audience. If I were BRAVO's Andy Cohen or the so-and-so running Oxygen, I'd be on the phone w/ her peeps ASAP.

Wait, doesn't TV Land have that modeling series, "She's Got the Look"? There ya go. Problem solved.

I loved everything about the entire six-year run of PORT CHARLES! I know not everyone liked the story arcs, and the introduction

of the vampires. And, I'm not a vampire junkie by a long shot, but this show introduced me to Michael Easton. And, I was so

totally taken with his portrayal of the super-sexy, super-sensual, smooth as butter way he played Caleb. And, then I was totally

taken by the most amazing couple pairing ever, in my opinion of course, Michael Easton and Kelly Monaco. They had oozing

chemistry! The entire run of the show had really good stories. I am one of the show's biggest fans. ABC never did give this

show a proper chance to grow an audience. They were cancelled at numbers like AMC and OLTL have now. See, it's no wonder both

of these shows have been cancelled. They have been in the ratings basement for a long time. No show can survive those numbers

for a long period. I have wondered why they have survived as long as they did.

I'm now concerned that Susan Lucci is taking a ton of time off AMC travelling the country doing this book tour. I know she planned this before the cancellation announcement... but I want her ass back in the studio so she can be on AMC everyday until the end! I don't want her to be missing all summer from the show when this is it. :(

You'll likely have to follow Erica on twitter since Susan will be on vacation over the summer. In the last episode, Erica will tweet the All My Children poem or at least its first 140 characters.

Susan only has 3 more stops on her book tour. Next weekend she is in Arizona, so most likely she'll be in studio taping more episodes since Arizona is California's neighboring state.

And I highly doubt Susan will be taking a summer vacation.

Hasn't SL always taped extra when she is taping? Or out of order, something like that. We haven't really missed her this book tour. LOL

I think VI said they all get three weeks off in July, despite the cancellation, so I'm not completely convinced SL will take the summer off. Guess we'll see.

Yes, her hair looks HORRID in that picture. Yikes.

AMC has three weeks off in July!? So at a time when they should be slowing down and putting a lot of care into everything their sole focus is going to be whipping episodes out as quickly as possible, like it was before the move. Peachy.

At least she didn't screw AMC over the way she screwed over Port Charles. "Hey, let's suddenly start taping shows six months ahead! That way, when the network cancels the show, nobody will be here and I won't have to deal with it. I'll be too busy unpacking in my NYC apartment getting ready to ruin another show!"

    • Randy (Doug's friend who works for Joey) -- Joey told Randy weeks ago that Joey's plan was to get Doug into so much debt that Doug would be forced to get Vanessa's real estate holding turned over to Joey, to use for money-laundering.  That's been the plan all along, which the viewers knew.  The only thing new is that Joey finally told Doug this. I think Joey is written badly.  I also think Jon Lindstrom is doing "Now I am going to act menacing".   But I don't really feel the menace.  It's too overdramatic and it doesn't feel like a real person.  Jon is a fine actor on GH, so I don't know what's happening here -- the entire BTG mobster premise is badly designed/written.  I don't know if Guza pushed for a mobster storyline?  Or did Jon?  (Jon wrote a novel about Hollywood mobsters). It just doesn't fit.  It feels (to me) like this storyline for Jon was just shoved onto the canvas but it doesn't fit all all. Monday's scene of Mona coming into the "casino" to check up on where Leslie supposedly lost money in the slot machines -- and Randy explaining to Mona that there are no slot machines, there is nothing but the card room.  I had to laugh because they had characters comment that it's just a card room and not a casino.  I had to laugh that the show is now acknowledging that there's nothing there.  Or if they are going to do this, then have it make sense for Fairmont Crest residents to visit a high-end glamourous casino, and not a random room with one table. So what money is Joey laundering? A while back, Joey told Vanessa that he knows about her sexual philandering because owns the escort service that she'd been using. But I don't care...  I'd just prefer that the entire mobster storyline go away.
    • I caught up this past weekend. The show is better written, but I have been bored with the show. I did notice it ranked in the top 5 again this week, so that's a good sign.
    • I can't take this show seriously. I truly miss WJB writing this show. Bradley didn't inherit his dad's talent.
    • Maybe if there had been a good close up or two
    • I haven't had a chance to view the interview, but I'm glad Mike didn't get the part of Derek.  Derek is a badly written character. Any Ben Gavin screenshot from yesterday's show?
    • Wait, what? So, Martin’s not running for President anymore? Just like that?  I didn’t expect this storyline to be long term but I would’ve liked to see it play out for a little while longer, or at least until Martin’s secret was revealed. And definitely not fade out with a whimper. Sort of like Naomi’s lawsuit against Bill’s firm; what was the point of it all if it was just gonna wrapped up so easily and (probably) forgotten about?  Eva is still the breakout character though. I’m looking forward to seeing where she goes from here with everyone, especially if the twist that we’re all suspecting turns out to be true.  And I did find the gambling storyline interesting finally, now that we know Joey’s endgame. I’d like to see it play out and to see what happens to everybody involved in it.  As for Derek/Ashley… I wonder how it would’ve played out if they actually had cast Mike Manning as Derek. Yeah, the writing isn’t there but I imagine that Derek would have more of a personality lol and I also imagine that it would’ve made Ron Carlivati’s head explode

    • That would've been a good pick! She was great on B&B and like you said, she's already in Atlanta.

    • Oooo. I like the current actress, but that's a pretty great choice.
