Bobby hasn't been relevant for years so it's really a non factor but Carly being there was the biggest WTF. She's just too damn selfish to care. She would think it a complete waste of time and would rather pick a fight with Brenda than be a part of an intervention for Luke. This is why Carly sucks. Even when it's not about her she still manages to hog air time.

I wish Lulu's letter could've been written more closer towards the end of the episode. To me, her words were the strongest & had the most impact (besides Lucky's). JMB did really good today.

I love how the episode was orchestrated, very unique & clever how they integrated in the flashbacks (as astonishingly unrealistic as it was; watching Luke & whoever else was pleading to him sit there and watch something from the past between them, LOL).

I haven't watched today's episode yet, but I did watch the intervention and I thought it was well done..To comment on what the poster above said, I thought it was pretty obvious the flashbacks were supposed to be them remembering these things as the letters were read...hence him being tied up at times and then during the flashback reveals sitting comfortably..

I also liked Luke's reaction...I'm amazed that Lulu and Ethan went from being his biggest supporters to also thinking he had a problem in a matter of what two episodes?

Don't be, sweetie. You know very well that story arcs only last 3-5 days on this show. Just take what you can get when you can get it. We'll be back to the usual filler in no time.

Horse: Senny, I was talking to Michael.

Sonny: How's, uh... you know... Michael?

Horse: Michael's still trying to get into the bizniss. You've got to stop Michael from wanting this.

Sonny: I've tried to, you know... tell Michael this isn't... this isn't what he wants. But, hey, Michael won't listen. You know?

Horse: That's because Michael wants to be just like you. Michael can't be like you, Senny. Michael has to live a better life.

Sonny: Hey, you know... I want that for Michael too. I've told Michael I'm not the best example.

Horse: But you're Michael's father. You're who Michael looks up to.

Sonny: DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT?!!! (throws a glass of scotch across the room)

Brenda: Hay... I heard about Michael. Is Michael okay?

Horse: Brinda, you have no business asking about Michael. Okay? None!

Brenda: Look, Michael is my stopson, and I just wanna halp!

Horse: Michael is nothing to you.

Brenda: Look, ever since the wadding, Michael's become a part of my life because Sonny's a part of my life.

Horse: Michael's not a part of your life. You pushed Michael and the rest of Senny's kids out of Senny's life, you barren, mud puddle WHORE!

Brenda: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Horse: Jax, take Michael away.

Jax: Corly, I can't take Michael anywhere right now. I'm concerned about Josslyn.

Horse: Who's Josslyn? My child's name is Michael

Jax: (smirks)

Jason: (sighs) Carleee, unless it's about Michael, I can't deal with this right now.

Horse: It is about Michael. Jasun, you gotta stop Michael.

Jason: I can't. I have to let Michael make his own decisions.

Horse: Even if Michael's decision is to be in the mob?

Jason: I don't want that for Michael, Carleee, and you know that!

Horse: But, Jasun, if you don't do anything to stop Michael, Michael's going to follow in your footsteps somewhere else... with Jahn Zacharra

Jason: Wait. Carleee, did you meet with Johnny about Michael?

Horse: Jasun!! I wasn't going to just stand by and let Jahn manipulate Michael.

Jason: What did Johnny say about Michael?

Horse: Jahn said if Michael came to him looking for a job in his organization, he'd give Michael one.

Jason: (blinks, stone faced)

One thing I can't stand about Anthony Zacchara is his hate for Claudia. I mean I get it, but he still to this day talks about Claudia, his own daughter (who is dead), like she's a piece of trash! It really irks me how he still has so much hate for her. I wish he had a soft spot for her now. He's a fun, entertaining one note villain but I wish he had some heart to go with it...

Brenda's sheer excitement over having Lucian is so adorable to me. I love watching & listening to her talk about her "son". Little things like her getting excited over being a real parent and asking Lucian to eat all of his vegetables (and him actually doing it), to her wondering if he'll be hurt in any way during the DNA test. She is so enthralled with this new mom thing and I really love it. It's to bad he got snatched at the end, I don't even really blame her for not noticing. I think it's a shame Lucian is not really hers & she has to go through this right now...it would've been better if he really was Brenda's son and we actually get to see her stay the way she currently has been!

I want to like the Kristina/Lisa stuff but just can't....I don't like Lisa's plan. I mean hasn't she done this with Emma before?? Yawn..

BACKBURNER: "Calling Maxie. Maxie Jones report back to the backburner, STAT!". Omg I wish this nosey bitch would get off my screen! Not liking her increase in air time lately, all she does is nose around & throw out her unwanted opinions. I also don't care for her & Matt together at all.

    • He needs to divorce her arse with her constant cheating.   She's no better than Doug... she's F*cking pathetic.
    • I didn't know of any interruptions for Maeve Kinkead after her 1997 return. Her runs would then be 1981-1987, 1989-1996, 1997-2000, short arcs until the end. I knew Maureen Garrett second run was interrupted from a 2009 interview but I couldn't recall the exact year. Her runs would then be 1976-1980, 1988-2000, short arcs until the end.
    • As I said in May, I have no problem with Martin and Bradley being married. You can still do all the fun introloper storylines with them as you do everyone else. Both men of a certain age, and it is very believable for them to have either a first love or have been previously married. And, you can do it without either of them cheating!

I said something similar during the premiere week. Bill was the perfect age to play Martin as Vernon and Anita's child. I would've much preferred this version, but oh well.
    • I don't know how you want to count Maeve. She "retired" in '00, but would come back for appearances. I don't know however if she made an appearance in '01 or '03. In '02 I believe she came back for Josh and Reva's wedding. I assume she came back when Gina Tognoni took over the role of Dinah. And I know she was back for Ross' memorial service. Maureen Garrett was around until at least '00. I don't think Holly was in town when Ben returned though. I just got pissed off about Jerry all over again.
    • So, pretty sure Zaslow, Garrett, Kinkead, and Newman all chose to leave the first time. (If that's wrong, please correct me). Bernau - not sure why he left the first time. Was it voluntary? Or did they decide to write him out? They were writing so many out during that time period. It always seemed odd to me that they introduced Alex, FINALLY giving him someone he could talk to, and then he was written out. Or maybe that's why they made Alex his sister, so she could take his place as the head of the Spaulding family? Would love more intel on that if anyone knows. Simon - was he replaced by RVV? Or did he voluntarily leave the first time? It seems to me like one of those times TPTB decided to sex up or glamorize a character (and it clearly flopped). If he was fired, interesting he came back. Again, would love if someone could spill the tea. Clarke - I've always assumed he left because of his personal issues, but not sure if that was the case the first time.
    • So Doug just leaves Vanessa there with Joey? He's a f*cking loser. Vanessa needs to divorce his arse
    • Tina Sloan tied Jerry VerDorn record when Guiding Light was cancelled - 26 years uninterrupted
    • Very true...but TPTB all were desperate to get into prime time or films and couldn't, so they looked down on their own industry and tried to infuse themes that just didn't work in soaps. I would have thought after 9/11 the shows would have gone out of their way to provide that warmth and comfort that the audience wanted, and to bring old viewers back. Budget cuts? Just bring back kitchen sets, both ATWT and GL got rid of those besides one each..(the Snyders and the Bauers) You don't need super fancy sets if you have the writing.
    • LMAO they didn't
