OMG, I just realized what a big man Michael Nouri is. Holy crap.

Jack and Krystal are cute. And he looked okay behind that bar. LOL

Today was pretty bad...but then I watched OLTL afterwards and AMC didn't look so bad in comparison. THAT is the show the magazines and pretty much every soap blogger fawn over!? Maybe I just caught it on a bad day; a slew of horrible teen actors and dialogue.

See I enjoyed AMC more today... Nothign was great and the lurking Priest stuff has gotten ridiculous (I actually liked him when he was potentially a real priest) but otherwise I enjoyed the dialogue and interaction of characters, Opal was great, loved Krystal and Jack just having a beer, even Mariss and Binks throwing snowballs--they're just little scenes of characters interacting and not pushing story story story, and soaps are missing that lately (OLTL is anyway).

I dunno, it seems like people claim to miss scenes like that and then complain when they get them. I admit the show needs a lot of work with its actual stories, but, these details are coming back more and more.

No.

Yes he did. I just watched on Youtube a Dec 1987 episode where Tom's coaching the PVU Football team which includes Charlie. (Sorry Khan, you so rarely get any of the details of the older history plots of these shows wrong, that I have to gloat when you're outright wrong :P )

Nouri is clearly the sort of actor who never thought he'd be doing soaps again.

Perhaps, I'm just biased, and I don't think any man can ever "compete" with Brandon Kingsley and Mike Roy, but it always seems to me that Erica falls for the exact same kind of man every single time. Just once, I'd like to see Erica in a relationship w/ someone that no one saw coming.

Remember how awful Mike Roy the second time around was?? (I think that was during McTavish's hated 1998 stint). I hadn't seen Mike before then, at that time, and was shocked wondering what the appeal of him with fans could ever have been.

I don't think so. I'm still convinced Michael Nouri literally fell asleep during one of his scenes last week.

I always roll my eyes when I listen to the DC podcasts talking about how awful the acting on AMC is while praising the acting on OLTL.

Everyone has their favorites and some are better than others but I think on AMC, Trent Garrett might be the only one who can't act while OLTL has about 10 people who can't act and are featured more prominently than Trent Garrett.

I *am* an OLTL fan (despite some OLTL fanatics on here thinking otherwise :P ) but I actually was saying how seeing some of the young actors on OLTL--particularly the new Jack has made me actually appreciate Ash's acting. Not that he's good by any means but at least his line delivery is relatively natural sounding. I find DC bizarre about that, but they have a clear AMC biase--the acting on AMC has never really been the prob compared to some other soaps--yeah Ryan's not great, but he's not as awful as some other "hunks" on daytime, etc.

I actually liked him the second time around. I liked his rapport with Erica and that he and Jack got along, and his partnership with Adrian. It was just the story that wasn't very good, especially the whole thing with one last goodbye bang, which was just a weak excuse to split up Erica/Jack.

I never watched the first time but loved Mike the second go. I preferred Erica with him over Jack

Cara and Griff have inappropriate sexual chemistry. Did you see how she was tugging at his tummy?
