February 13, 201115 yr Member I'm looking foward to seeing the real singers, Barbara Steisand, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger not this Justin kid.
February 14, 201115 yr Member Christina knows that we know that she knows that we know that she's trying her damndest to make up for last week I'm sorry, but Florence CAN NOT F'N SING. They need to stop this madness with her. Edited February 14, 201115 yr by All My Shadows
February 14, 201115 yr Member Christina tries too hard IMO she almost seems like she's trying to be like Mariah or Whitney with the long drawn out vocals
February 14, 201115 yr Member Amen and amen. I am so over Christina, not that I was ever under her. And she sounds like she's going to blow her voice out in only a matter of time. She's already falling back on the growl way too much, just like Jennifer Holliday. They should have let Jennifer Hudson sing Ain't No Way. I'm just through with Christina's riffs and runs that come from her brain and not her soul like a true Gospel-rooted singer. It don't impress me much. At any rate, the five of them combined could barely do Aretha justice and I wish Whitney had her [!@#$%^&*] together so she could have been up there too. Aretha looks good having lost the weight, of course under not ideal conditions. And I thought that house burned down! Lord forgive me, but did they think Retha wasn't gonna make it when they planned all this?
February 14, 201115 yr Member I don't see the big deal about Lady Gaga? She doesn't sound all that great IMO
February 14, 201115 yr Member Lord forgive me, but did they think Retha wasn't gonna make it when they planned all this? She's supposed to be taking it easy, so I'm sure it was decided a long time ago that she wouldn't attend the actual show and just record a message. But then again, the tribute's kinda random, so who knows. I liked Gaga's performance. I might get some responses on this, but I think she sounds good live (live, meaning through my TV).
February 14, 201115 yr Administrator Gaga is such a great performer. I wish I could've gone to her concert.
February 14, 201115 yr Member LOL @Lucy Coe. I think she *sounds* fine, I just think she's too contrived for my taste and not deserving of all the "ground breaking" praise and whatnot. Country music is depressing as hell.
February 14, 201115 yr Member Oh, and I meant, did they plan the tribute altogether once they heard of her illness? Oh well, it's a great gesture at any rate. Give people their flowers while they're here to smell them.

How obvious for Ricky Martin to introduce her....lol
February 14, 201115 yr Member GaGa lipsynched 90 percent of that song. And of course she won't get any flack for it because half the press seems to think she's some sort of god. Edited February 14, 201115 yr by SoapBoy94
