I thought Sandra Nelson was very good as Phyllis, and very believable in scenes with Michael Damian and Lauralee Bell.  She (and Gina Tognoni) grounded that character in ways that Michelle Stafford never could, despite her being the original actor.

@SoapDope Thanks so much. Such a treat to see Deborah Adair as Jill. Not much around of her. She was a terrific Jill, made her so believable. Played all the original stuff with John/Jack and the Abbotts.

What's the air dates on these scenes?

Jill pays Mamie $1 million dollars to leave town

Billy calls Jill a gold digger

I think that was March 1995.

The Mamie one is August 11, 1995.

Don't know the other one, not even sure which Billy it should be.

Probably David Tom's first run as I remember him hurling a lot of that abuse at her when he first came back to Genoa City.

It was posted on Youtube but got taken down. That's a preview pic. Is that David Tom?

Deborah Adair's Jill always tickled me.  Her barbs were always more "passive-aggressive" and thinly-disguised than the other Jills.

Definitely not Tom. Looks like Billy Miller to me.

I was thinking that was John Driscoll as Chance in the back, so that would be Billy Miller. The pic seems compressed and it's hard to see clearly.

Not to take anything away from Brenda Dickson or even Jess Walton, but Deborah Adair comes across more believably as Julianna McCarthy/Liz Foster's daughter.  If she had stayed, I could see her mellowing out eventually - not enough to turn her into Mary Williams, but enough to make her a strong, matriarchal figure nevertheless, like Liz before her.

She never came across as smolderingly "wicked" as 1983-1987 Brenda Dickson's Jill or as "neurotic" as Jess Walton's Jill.  She could be as catty as either of them, but was overtly bold or transparent with it.

LOL at Nina and Esther bar-hopping. And its weird that a year later, Nina was terrible to Esther when she hired her as her maid.

So Marc was struck in between Nikki and Joanna? Its interesting that they didn't make some sort of triangle with him and those two (unless they kind of did later).

That scene were Nina falls on the ice is actually on youtube.

LOL at Esther: "It looked like he was undressing me with his eyes"

Is the Nina falls on the ice scene in the vault? No way to watch on youtube as it's private.
