She just had a crush on Danny. To me, she was boring and pointless. I don't have proof of this, but my theory is - it wasn't supposed to stop. Michael Damian was supposed to leave for Joseph, and then Cricket and Paul would transition straight to the April story. Instead, Michael Damian's broadway debut was delayed, so he stayed on the show another 6 months... the April story was delayed 6 months... and the writers came up with the "senior citizen" story to keep Cricket and Paul busy during the interim. Some of the actors, like Josh Morrow, were surprised it is not already fully available on streaming (sigh...).
