OLTL: Discussion for the week October 18

My thing is, if Greg is Destiny's father, that really isn't much of a huge "family" secret as it's a "Destiny" secret (yes, I know that still makes it a "family" secret, but you know what I mean, not a secret to his family save for Des). James Richard, J.J. Shaun, and certainly Flo Phylicia would know who Thelma's Destiny's parents are, and frankly, this is not *that* big of an earth shattering secret, give me a break. Not big enough for anyone to put his life on the line. I did think for a second there that Ma Evans tipped her hand when she got caught up as they read Greg's note. She kinda played it off like she was getting emotional hearing his words, but I thought it might have been a, "Oh my God, he's about to tell her..." I was only half watching so I'll watch again tonight to form a better opinion, at any rate we'll know tomorrow at 2:57.

Darren makes me wish I was 12 years old again so I can beat him up. What a dork.

 Can't you see him and Matthew slap boxing? "Stop playin'! Stop playin'! You play too much! You play too much!"

Um....

is VIVIAN Destiny's mother?!? She seemed awfully concerned over Greg- yes, they had a relationship briefly around the time Greg and Rachel were being toyed with as a pairing- but I didn't think she would react like she did... like she was losing someone she really loved. If Greg and Vivian knew each other when they were younger and she was pregnant- they gave the baby up, but Greg couldn't do it and had his parents adopt her?

There was that motherly talk that Vivian had with Destiny a while back about having sex- I always thought that was strange.

Also if Greg isn't in the picture anymore since TT is leaving- it might be interesting for Destiny to discover that Vivian is really her mother and struggle with the death of her father... I like Vivian, so I wouldn't mind it. And she's paired with Shaun so I guess she will still have things to do! Especially as Llanview's OBGYN.

Nope

Scotty, don't be "that guy." :P

Eww, as long as it's not "Greg is actually NOT a biological Evans and he knocked up Mrs. Evans", just PLEASE tell me that's not it.

Oh, and either Shaun is unaware of the secret or he was havng an "oh, duh" moment. To me, it looks like only Greg and mom know.

Matthew continues to be an irritating prick. Kid, get an f-ing life already

So Greg tells a woman she is dying, pumps her full of drugs, lets her family think she is dead and causes all kind of pain in the process, bc he couldnt deal with peoplf knowing Destiny is his kid? What type of sense does that make? Wasnt Eli threatening to kill her and Shaun in the beginning and thats why he was going along with this? Why have they not mentioned that bit as well?

He can't as long as Nate needs to be propped.

NONE.

As I've said in the past, I am a fan of Matthew the prick, I think EA is good at it. But agreed, they need to go somewhere with it because the novelty is wearing off. I'd rather see him as a nice guy who has a smart ass quality. They exist in real-life ya know writers, but I feel like that's too tough of a pretzel for them to wrap their pens around. Like that's too grey of a concept. And frankly, Nate doesn't need all of this propping, we get it, Dani likes him, FINE. I don't think anyone really hates Nate. They hate his eldest brother and his connection to him, but not really Nate himself. Well, at least that's how I feel.

Haha...gotta keep you wanting more. :D

I know, just doing your job. ;):D

Matthew was doing too much yesterday, how was Nate giving Destiny a pair of earrings Dani was going to give her putting the moves on her?

And they are clearly going to put Matthew with Destiny, judging by how Darren was looking when Matthew gave her that gift. Ugh. Nice to know he is only going to be with her, because Dani didnt want him.

And

Greg killed Destiny's mom, so that seems like a pretty nice explanation instead of him just being her father. They haven't revealed how he did it via spoilers but we'll see.

Oh good call guys on knowing the secret.

Where the hell am I when these type of spoilers come out.

Thanks for ruining this episode for me you guys. For months I've been wondering what Greg's secret is and you guys spoiled it for me. You guys know you're not suppose to talk about spoilers in this forum. Thanks. <_< Now I gotta go back and spoiler tag everything because you guys didn't.

That was the best episode of OLTL in months. I loved everything.

I felt so bad for Destiny, and SE has really grown as an actress. Even though I already thought Greg was her dad, I was still pretty shocked when he said it. They were all on fire in those scenes, this is the first time I have enjoyed Greg.

I love that Marty is going to be involved with the double WTD story now, and the look on Natalie's face when Marty said something about Brody being interested in the baby was hilarious.

Eli is just annoying, cant wait for him to go.

Damnit I am interested in what is going on with Ford, I thought they were continuously bringing up his pain as a running gag, but now he is coughing up blood. Speaking of which, I am glad we havent seen Inez for a minute.

Overall great show, OLTL is improving to me after a horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE summer.
