do think from what we've seen of Nancy that she would not have married again. Some women just won't. I wonder how Helen Wagner felt about the marriage.ย

I think this was the major issue..I don't think Nancy would have married again. Some people just don't and are satisfied with their lives that are full without a partner. Not to mention that during Marland's time at least, the entire Hughes extended family (and I count Lisa, Barbara and Betsy and Andy in that) were constantly in and out and always needed a little check from the older generation.ย  Plus, though Marland changed her to a sweet granny, Irna's Nancy had a backbone of steel, and I can't imagine a woman like that putting up with an new man in her house and her life..(especially one with ear hair and reeked of old smoke.)

If they did go that route it would've been interesting to see a little friction then this sweet old couple who looked like they have been together for years. I think a guy would have an issue with the extended family (and really the whole town) affecting their day..

Dan: "Where are you going."

Nancy: "Something about Barbara and kidnapping"

Dan: "She's been kidnapped AGAIN!"

Nancy: "No this time she is the kidnapper...really Dan..keep up, dear!"

Hey,

i have german episodes of "As The World Turns" from. They start with March 28th, 1990 and end in November 1990.

I will at least upload 3 episodes per day and include many episodes, that aren't on YouTube. Maybe some of you are interested anyway.

The stories include: Susans addiction to pills, Andy's alcoholism, Bobs one night stand with Susan, Gail Kinkaids trial against Sean Baxter, Julies lies about Linc and Tonio, Caseys death and Margo's trial.

You can follow my new Channel that i made for uploading the episodes :)
Here is the playlist link:

Yeees those are the episodes I have too. Iโ€™m missing a few and hope I can close those gapsย

The only thing I wish is those clips to be in better visual quality. The verbal combat between Barbara and Margo built to a crescendo so expertly in any given scene. I liked how they often drew on their history, going back to Margoโ€™s affair with James as subtext for the tension between the two. During this particular period of time, ATWT was really good at writing compelling verbal jousting between rival characters.

Someone needs to make a compilation for Lisa and Lucinda. The scene at Dianaโ€™s that ends with Lisa blithely declaring โ€œOh, how I despise herโ€ is one of my favorite scenes between them.๐Ÿ˜‚

It is. ย Her costar is the one I can't exactly place, though. ย I know I've seen him before - maybe on one of the soaps? - but I'm not sure.

Thanks.ย

Funny how that commercial - the umpteenth parody of soap that by this time was many many years out of date (and was never that accurate) lets Schutlz give more life than ATWT ever did.

I still find it bizarre she was married LB in real life.

Thanks @DRW50. Maybe I can get a chance to watch. Hopefully there will be a few special guests and Melanie will commandeer the conversation.

I think most of the Locher Rooms I've watched with ATWT have had Melanie. She's a very compelling presence. Locher seems to have a long relationship with her so doesn't go over her too much.

Which is probably why I can watch. For me, it really is dependent on his guests and their dynamic that determines whether I can watch his videos or not.
