Look at the overall ratings... While GH and OLTL are both up by over 100,000 viewers week-to-week, OLTL barely increased year-to-year, which is the only way to see if a show is doing well and is just a few viewers above the canceled ATWT. GH, however, gained nearly a quarter of a million viewers from last year.

But year-to-year is somewhat misleading when you're only looking at one week. Last year, GH was very low, and GH had a good week this year, so there's going to be a gain. Next week, GH could be down year-to-year - it depends how they did last year and how they did this year. The only way to look at the year-to-year ratings is, well, yearly.

You can change it if you want Toups.

Yeah...um...year to year, OLTL is up, by 21,000 in total viewers...while shows you don't say are "tanking", like B&B for instance, are down 116,000 viewers.

And in women 18-49, OLTL is down by a mere 19,000, while AMC is down also a relatively small 24,000...but AMC doesn't warrant the "tanking" reference, either.

Seriously...if you ever want to be taken seriously as a news site, you might want to chill out on the over-the-top misleading headlines

I agree. OLTL gaining 100,000 viewers from the previous week and holding steady in the important demos is nothing to sneeze at during this dire time for the soap genre.

Did I miss something? Looks like OLTL stayed the same.

How can it be said that OLTL had a good week? It's in last place tied with a cancelled soap. To me, OLTL continues on a

dismal track. No one can be happy with this rating. In fact, how can it be justified to keep these low rated soaps on the air.

These numbers were when Port Charles was cancelled. In fact, all soap ratings are pretty dismal. Y and R can't even get up

over a 4.0 anymore. 1.7 is a horrible rating.

No one is arguing that. The show gained viewers from the previous week. That's what OLTL fans and people who watch the ratings are concerned about right now.

There is justification for poeple who continue to watch. If you're not watching, fine. Me and others who enjoy these programs will continue to watch as long as they are on.

I hope ATWT spikes next week....IT deserves a strong final weeek.

It has two more weeks of ratings left. I thought last week was pretty good. I expected higher numbers. John returned and was on all week. All of CBS was down on Friday. I guess no one wanted to see Reid die and Noah stay [!@#$%^&*] alive.

GH numbers are still shitty! Only a 1.9 rating...but they do have 2.6 mil viewers. Still not great numbers for Vanessa's return.

What was so good about AMC that they went up??

OLTL still is tied with ATWT in HH.

Hopefully ATWT can hit #4 in Total Viewers and #3 in HHs the last week. It's not that far away from either one now.

Isn't doing good in the demos what counts? OLTL is doing better than AMC in the demos and has been for a long while now........

AMC isn't too much ahead of the now cancelled ATWT in the demos and yet OLTL and GH are kicking AMC's arse in the demos

What was so good about AMC that they went up??

Most likely people wanting to find out who would die on Friday's show. The whole week was building up to that.

Calebs overpromoted party. Must have seen that someone dies promo 10 times.

Most people continue to ignore that.

Here we go again. Is there ever going to be a week that this thread doesn't turn into AMC/OLTL fans fighting like drag queens at a wig sale?

Thank You. And this time we didn't even start it.

We didn't say ANYTHING about OLTL.

Maybe Zendall Fan did but the majority of the AMC havn't said ANYTHING.

Another big week for DAYS and another fall in the ratings. DAYS just can't get a break.

What happened with DAYS? They were beating the odds then they imploded. How could Higley be doing so well then SO badly?

Thank You. And this time we didn't even start it.

It was the headline. (No offense Errol!) I knew when I saw "OLTL tanks!" it was all over.
