You get to know the ladies who service the room for you, and many are of African origin. And ALL were hooked on Y&R or, as it's known there, Les Feux de l'Amour. They'd put it on to listen to while they tidied the room and, since I would already be checking the show out, we'd chat about it. I was, like, their Spoiler Chick because France is about 5 years behind. It is currently in full LML mode -- Nikki has just decided to run for the Senate seat against Jack. But Dru? Dru is recently gone from French screens. And this year, none of the ladies were interested in tuning into the show while they worked. It was really telling compared with last year. BTW, I stand by my assertion that nothing can out-crap LML's very worst excesses on Y&R -- crappy background music, no cliffhangers, scenes coming at you at 200 mph, Boresprings, And I don't care what language they dub the show in, Daniel's porn addiction to Amber's mole on her left buttock will always be one of THE worst SLs ever to hit Y&R (up there with Daniel's shiteous art-theft SL & the Daisy/Lauren's doppleganger vomit). Having said that, early-to-mid LML wasn't so bad. Watching Ji Min en français involved in lots of Jabot business stuff made me long for the days when business power plays ruled the roost. His romance with Lily and his involvement in Cassie's Death may be the only ones worth a damn. The other only good storylines may be his conception and the custody battle for him.
