OLTL: Discussion for the week August 2

Jack: Have you ever tried talking sense into mom? It's like... trying to pick a lock that's filled with glue.

Yet he thinks his father the rapist is perfect in every way.

Just a repulsive character. The more they try to use him and wooden Danielle to manipulate people into liking Todd/Tea the more hollow they become.

Eli has an accomplice. I think it's pretty obvious who it is, too.

OMG!

I don't know if we are thinking of the same person, but the light bulb just went off in my head. It's Greg. He is lying about Tea's condition, and he also been the one to help kill Melinda, Rodney, and Glenn. He must know some sort of drug you can give someone that would make their death look like a heart attack. I could care less about Greg, so this is a pretty nice twist. Wish it didn't have to ruin two characters who never showed any traces of psychotic tendencies. But hey, what are you gonna do.... *shrugs shoulders*

Wow that would make a lot of sense!!

I dont think Greg was willing to go along with this. Im guessing Eli/Benett threatened someone in his family (Destiny, Shaun)

Who is it? And are we heading for the return of the original Todd?

Original Todd? This is ABC, AMC. Chances are, if he were to return, he'll be touted as the real Todd.

nah they only did that for AMC. They brought Susan Haskell back and promoted her as the original Marty, most likely bc of the backlash they got over Rebecca Budig

Anyone know the name of the day player actor who portrayed the man who called John at the beginning of the show. John was

informed by him that Glenn was dead. He looks familiar and I can't place him. Thanks.

I can't stand Todd, but Jack's a little boy. Why wouldn't he think his father is perfect in every way? On that note, I think Jack is very good character.

And in two months, RH will be standing outside the window on a lightning and thunder filled night. Todd eavesdropping on Tea and Dani's convo wasn't a stroll down memory lane, it was a history lesson.:excl:

Jack is 12 or 13 years old, old enough to know when a parent isn't perfect. He certainly doesn't think his mother is perfect. He didn't feel that way about Todd either until the re-rape story was a fiasco and the show decided they needed to have Todd's kids back at his side to show how awesome Todd was and that fans should love Todd.

I don't even think Jack is a character. He is just this empty plot device.

I am a big fan of Carmen LoPorto. He's a dynamo for a child actor. He is great in scenes with everyone. And, yes, I like

Jack. Sure, he's got an attitude, but he's his father's son to a T. I actually would like to see more of him. I feel he is

a character, and he's sure a "character" in more ways than one.

The thing is I don't know what it means to be Todd's child. What is Todd these days? Is he an unrepentant rapist? Is he a romantic hero? Is he a long-suffering martyr? Is he a wacky comic?
