Loved the Jason/Brenda episode, I thought it was hilarious! Steve Burton looks deflated, he acted a lot better back then now he is just stiff and constipated looking. Brenda and Jason were so vial with each other, LOL but I always thought something could be there between them. Looking forward to their interactions because i find them to be so entertaining together, i think it will be the same even though so much has changed. Jax/Brenda should be good to.

ABC airing old episodes one day a week is something I would so be down with, and doing a poll online to determine which episodes would be a nice touch to.

WOW was it good to see those episodes today. Especially the ones from 96 and 97....

That first episode was my favorite. JACKIE ZEMAN!!!! It made me sad to look at her tho, as she is pretty unrecognizable now. But those scenes with her and SJB were FANTASTIC...Jacklyn is a terrific actress. And I dont CARE what she did to her face, she should still be front burner..

Carly came to town to destroy Bobbie, which made it hard to sympathize with her when she apologized. But SJB was fantastic as always. I'm glad they didn't edit out the Bobbie/Carly scenes. I loved them.

Seeing Lucy Coe! Oh how I miss her :( Sigh. It really was heartbreaking to think that the majority of the people in these episodes are dead or gone now...

Where were Lois and Robin? They were Brenda's best friends but I didn't see her in the wedding episode...Maybe I missed them.

Seeing Anna Lee? My heart melted. I love that woman..

Overall, it made me sad watching them. The quality of the first episode just reminded me of why I fell in love with GH. Real love. Real hurt. Real problems. Things that didn't involve a mob war...Even the episode from 2002 was superior...I wish GH could go back to the kinds of writing like the Bobbie/Carly/Tony stuff.

I'm glad they aired the reruns.

Oh Riiiiight. I remember now that Robin and Lois were gone.....But they were both still in the credits...Or at least I thought they were?? So it confused me....Maybe I'm imaginging that.

I could have swore Rena Sofer came back in 1996 tho at some point. I had thought it was for this wedding. I guess I remembered incorrectly.

Rena left in September...the wedding was in Nov. (probably why she was still in the credits). She didnt return till Feb of 1997 for a brief stint. Kimberly M. last airdate was also in Sept of 1996, but she also came back in the beginning of 1997 for a brief stint before returning again in 1998

I had to do research on the dates and info as I didnt recall who was where and when at the time.

LOVED Skye as well. That was my girl. This was the beginning of the end for her though and the last time she was truly awesome. They really trashed her to prop up Saint Brenda and she never quite recovered. Her romance with Jax was the last great storyline she had and last time she was used in a leading capacity. They never really seemed overly invested in her after this. Still Robin C brought her A game and acted the hell out of the matgerial presented to her

    • It was one of the bigger disappointments that Sarah wasn't part of the book.
    • They clearly loved her offcamera. I wish I could appreciate her work more, but...I don't. Thanks for telling me what Levin said at the end. I still don't think Carney was bad, but I guess he would always see them as not shining compared to Kate.
    • Around 2002, when I would have killed Alan, I'd bring back Amanda, who would have a love/hate relationship with Philip mirroring Alan and Alex, I'd have a proper Alex recast, I might bring back Alan-Michael (and maybe Hope or Mike on recurring), and I'd bring in a long-lost son for Philip who would be around his late teens or early twenties.  I agree that Philip would still need a rival. That's where giving Roger another long-lost kid (not Sebastian) could have worked in this timeframe.
    • @ranger1rg @DemetriKaneI was sure I was swimming upstream alone on this. I get that they are all proud to be Duprees, but the writers are just overplaying it. Ted's an ass, but presumably, he's been a model husband for the last 25 (?) years...but he just isn't good enough (or can handle or whatever..) a Dupree woman? *cough* I guess the next "shocker" is whatever Vernon and Anita's secret is. I hope it's something a little more original than him cheating on Anita.
    • Yes, that was probably to he case. In  the book, after Malcolm Groome (Pat) said he dated Kathleen Tolan,  he said he saw her theater work and found her to be  "compelling and charismatic actress"  In one of Ilene Kristen's many video interviews promoting the book, she also praised Kathleen.
    • David knowing Burke was going to die and making sure to say goodbye to him was very unnerving. Some of the last moments where David Henesy's otherworldly vibes from those first few years are put to good use. I agree that the few months right before 1795 are excellent. They do a great job with building suspense and going through insane twists.  DS was never going to be able to have a long run anyway, with the high burnout rate and a number of principal cast not likely to stay, but I do wonder what might have been if they had done a better job with the present day after the return from 1795.
    • Off of the Xander/Paulina scenes in Thursday's episode, I really hope that means we're getting Theo coming home permanently. I didn't really see much of Cameron Johnson in the role, and though he was pretty and I'm thankful for his occasional thirst traps on Insta, Kyler Pettis could not act, so a brand new recast would be fine by me, but if you all think Cameron doesn't a real shot, I'd be fine with that, too. I just want Theo to be taken seriously as a character for once and make his place on this show like he deserves. I was annoyed the second Susan showed up again, but I do admit it was interesting to see her reunite with Marlena and see their dynamic when EJ joined them. Hopefully now we're done with her forever. As for John, this last bit of hope Marlena is getting before the inevitable is already so devastating. This is going to be so hard to watch. Xander reminding the audience he IS a cold blooded murderer, point blank. Paul Telfer was devilishly terrifying. Taking off his jacket was such a sexy power move. That Philip doesn't have a permanent dent in his face will be a miracle. It'll be interesting if it'll just be the one punch or if next week will see Philip more battered and bruised. How bad are they going to make Xander look? I will say, the best part of this story is that I'm not rooting for one over the other. How Philip reacts to this violence will be interesting. I also liked how everything with stealing the drug ended up. Very messy. Steve even made me laugh at one point, and I've been indifferent to him for years. I hope poor Kevin doesn't get scapegoated, but it'll be nice to see him presumably reunite with Shawn next. We'll be really lucky if Belle somehow crosses paths with him, too.
    • I've really been enjoying seeing him/Smitty interact with other actors/characters
    • She didn't want a hotel room; doubt she's going to want the apartment room, either. There was no reason to re-arrange the other one. This was the most logical move.
    • I just hope they don't move that lady in their apartment. Same. And Mike seemed to enjoy those scenes.
