Hold up did they retcon Tea's past. Now she grew up in NYC with her father until she left for college? Didnt she grow up in Llanview with the Vegas as close familiy friends before she left for college and turned her back?

Tea always grew up in NY. She was ashamed that her father was a super. The Vegas were a close family friend to her family, no change to her backstory.

Nope. Tea came to Llanview to help defend Antonio against murder charges. She was very close to Carlotta, but it didn't take place in Llanview.

It is flat out stupid to get rid of Layla on the heels of all that. If you can't convince Tika to do some sort of Cady McClain/Chrishell Stause deal for regular appearances, then recast, as much as that would suck. Recast and have Evangeline's shockingly-live ass turn up to crash the wedding, with Janet Hubert as her helper monkey like so many old scheming soap moms from the '80s. Come on. People would watch that.

I saw Janet's Life After earlier this week, and loved it. She has a great personality, and I love her attitude. "If you want me to kiss your ass, then you had to put it in my contract"

She is perfect for soaps, she would have been a fierce soap bitch/vixen in the 80's and 90's.
