While it was SOOOOO weird seeing Paul and Cricket happily reminiscing about "the good times" with Michael (what, Maria, no flashbacks of Michael holed up in the wall of Cricket's apartment? Or plotting with Isabella to destroy Cricket's marriage?), it was cool seeing CLB look genuinely happy to be in scenes with LLB and DD.

In Maria's world, Micheal never plotted with Isabella. According to the Christmas Eve episode of 2008, if it weren't for Micheal, Paul and Cricket would be dead.

Yeah. Kind of like Phyllis wasn't really going to run them over, she was actually trying to save their lives.

Way to throw Cricket & Nina's friendship under the bus to prop the ridiculous Paul/Nina "romance".

See, I was about to say "Way to throw Nina under the bus to prop Paul/Cricket Twu Wuv," but yours works, too. Maria can suck over more than one dimension, it seems.

I was thinking that was a little odd. I thought Nina had gotten rid of her Cricket related insecurities. The last person she felt insecure about was crazy ass Trisha Dennison.

What is the point of Sean Young again?

Caught a clip of Ace Ventura, Pet Detective as I was flipping channels this weekend. Sean Young. Woah. Was she ever a decent actress?

Exactly.

But Maria has to ridiculously regress her to prop a romance she doesn't care about to placate new viewers over the return of a veteran character they could care less about.

She's a mini Gloria in the making.

And we can never say this enough: Doug Davidson is still a sexy, sizzling fox. It was especially obvious in the scene with Grambo, and when he started laughing and giggling with LLB. Oh, and Tricia Cast is The Awesome. THESE are the characters we want to see, Maria.

Someone mentioned the GREAT character of the 90s recently around here - one couldn't put it any better. These characters have history (and are thwon more or less under the bus right now...) and could still tell so much story if MAB shows interest in exploring it...

The DA MAN-Victor scenes get more ridiculous the older Braeden gets. I thought such moments were off ten years ago when KAy Alden couldn't control her libido, but now it is just painful.

I can't believe I never noticed this, but Ronan, Chance, and Heather all look ridiculous being law enforcement officials. They look like little kids playing dress up, especially Heather. Too bad Paul can't be involved in this storyline. Maybe the show should have had Chance as a business man and JT as the detective.

Today's episode made it sound like Nina and Katherine had a strained relationship when last year they got along fine and Nina was going to write a screenplay about Katherine's book.

I was thinking today too that Nina once had a major rivalry with Victoria that was built and played out for a good decade, now I can't even see them being rivals...the intensity of it all and the complex psychological features would be entirely absent today.

If Heather is so worried about Ronan, than why doesn't she ask her PI father to watch her.

There is a lot of gay subtext even without the gay characters. There is Chance/Ronan, Daniel/Kevin, Billy/Cane, and JT has always pinged for some. Who could forget Danny Romalatti.

The show used to be pretty good (unintentionally) at this, but not as much recently. Billy and Cane often reminded me of old men trapped in younger men's bodies.

The best was JT/Korbel.
