I think it was one day Tracy's Lauren giving birth and the next day it was Caryn. I think, it's been so long ago and I'm exhausted today that my mind is not working 100%. Darn cold!!!

Sandra played the role when Brooke found out the truth which lessened the emotional impact, at least for me. I just couldn't connect with her as Brooke, and it was such a relief when KKL came back!

So was their a question as to whether or not KKL was going to return to the role of Brooke?? Is that why they gave SR a long term deal???

In fall 1996 there were rumors in the soap press that KKL wanted out. This faded away but I guess backstage it was still going on.

At the very least I don't think Brooke would have dominated the show the way she has. A major part of her appeal is down to KKL. She somehow manages to make Brooke sympathetic despite the often horrendous writing for her.

Indeed. How sad that she's never received an Emmy nomination, especially 10 years ago when a nomination still meant something.

When I started watching B&B in 1996, it was reported that she had just had a small break. And when Brooke returned, she had temporarily lost her mind and was clutching on to some dolls in a hut in Barbados...

An Afternoon TV Yearbook covering 1973 mentions Stephen Bolster (Ted Clark, AW, up to February 1973) subbing on AMC. I wonder who he filled in for.

SB was 39/40 then what roles could he have fit? Would Phil been too young?. Maybe Chuck Tyler? Paul Martin?Nick Davis?

What did y'all think of James Kiberd and Randolph Mantooth as Hal Munson on ATWT? James Kiberd I didn't like, he was awkward in the role. Randolph Mantooth was pretty good but way too attractive for the role.
