It might have been. I'm not sure of when WGE left. I also wonder if it was Jack Curtis, but I'm not sure when that character came along.

Besides maybe a guest spot on B&B, i just can't picture Melody on another soap besides Y&R for some reason.....

I remember when she had those disputes in 2009, someone suggested that she would have been perfect as Beth Logan on B&B.....I think that was just wishful casting..... though. haha.

  • Pamela Sue Martin - was considered as a replacement for Victoria Principal on Dallas during some tense contract talks one season

God the ratings would have been nuts if that happened. Could anyone imagine how the shows would turn out if Dallas did get Pamela Martin on the role and Dynasty casted Victoria on Dynasty as the new Fallon on the same season??

Sally Stark auditioned to play Marlena, which was then basically described as another Laura. They instead cast her in the short-lived, controversial role of Sharon DuVal.

Sharon and her husband (played by Fernando Rey) were troubled. Rey's character seemed interested in Julie. Viewers learned that Sharon was as well, as she revealed her feelings for Julie. This caused considerable fan backlash. I think she attempted suicide and then she and her husband left town so she could get help. I can't remember.

Oh wow, thanks. You'd think that after The Children's Hour, audiences could handle a little lesbian subtext by that point. But from what I understand, folks still weren't ready years later with Katherine and Devon. Of course daytime and film are different animals, but...
