Before being cast on ATWT, Kelley Menighan-Hensley auditioned to play AMC's Gloria and OLTL's Sarah.

I could have seen KMH as both roles.

Too shrill for Sarah.

Petronia Paley said she unsuccessfully auditioned for an OLTL role right before being cast on AW as Quinn Harding. She said the OLTL role ultimately only lasted a few months. I guess that must have been one of Ed Hall's girlfriends.

She's so elegant. She was in the all-black Oedipus they did at Michael Kahn's Shakespeare Theatre in D.C. with Al Freeman Jr., as well as Earle Hyman, starring Avery Brooks. They even took it to Greece.

Could that have been the role of Courtney that Phylica Rashad got

When B&B decided to bring back Clarke Garrison in 1996, they decided to do auditions instead of just rehiring Dan McVicar. One of the actors who tested was Charles Grant, who was then cast as Grant Chambers.

Jocelyn Seagrave and Alla Korot both tested for DAYS Billie in 1996 (Krista Allen won the role).

According to 8/27/96 SOD, these were the names being thrown around for Sunset Beach:

Vets: Sharon Wyatt, Josh Taylor, Nancy Lee Grahn

Gen X: Kirk Geiger, Paul Anthony Stewart, Kristin Davis, Kristi McDaniel, Paul Kersey

Jonathan Jackson was also rumored to be leaving GH and joining Beach, but Guza said that wasn't likely.

A name originally thought of when Casting Tabitha On Passions: Karen Black

Jocelyn Seagrave and Alla Korot both tested for DAYS Billie in 1996 (Krista Allen won the role).

Both of them would have done well IMHO

Would you happen to have any articles about casting for Passions back in 1998-1999? I'm curious to know if Reily was going to use any big soap vets for the roles on that show.

For some reason i could picture someone like Peter Barton being on Passions and in the role as police cheif Sam Bennett. James Hyde was great in that role, but i guess after seeing clips of Barton on sunset beach where he had to do that weird scene being dressed as a woman, I feel like he could adapt well to the weirdness that was Passions.
