She wants a vacation, he wants less of those two veterans. It's synergy, my dears. Now David Canary is gone and Erica is taking an amazingly long break. This was predicted almost a year ago, and not by me. You can't fault me for stating the obvious, which is that Frons's preferred AMC is swiftly taking shape. By all means, defend the man's motives if you so choose.

If Nouri and Eakes have the chemistry and can bring on the steam, I would probably fall at the feet of some kind of "lover from my past" story with them. Krystal's been on the show long enough to have a story without other longer-running characters heavily involved, and it's the type of thing I've been wanting AMC to do for years now. Something different, that's for sure.

Caleb would probably be annoyed as f!ck by Tad, too, so that could be fun. I'd love to see him shut ol' Thaddeus and Jesse down.

For real! AMC's the best soap on ABC right now, quite possible all of daytime (IMO, of course), so if this is what Frons' preferred AMC is, then maybe Frons has been rehabilitated.

Or maybe Agnes is writing it

Cindy Lubbock's macking on Tad and his out-of-nowhere son; and Lujack's getting mixed up w/ Jesse and Angie. It's like all my TV-related memories from my childhood have been blended into some funky concoction, and I don't like it one bit.

I actually don't mind this..... if it means delaying the cringeworthy Jack/Erica/Caleb triangle until fall, then this is good news lol. Let Jerica be all happy off screen. I like Jack, but since its been made clear TPTB think he serves no purpose without Erica.... then maybe they can let poor Walt go and be free to do other things with his career/life. I would prefer it if Erica came back alone.

 so true.....

Help me out here. Isn't Nu-Binks coming on soon? Where does she fit in with this? Are they bringing her back only to have Jerica vanish for months because that seems like a bad way to introduce a recast, especially this recast.

IMO, it's just one more suspect (three, if you count Frankie and Jesse) for Dave & Donna's big "Who Shot David Hayward?" story.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.
    • Emmerdale shares most nominations for the British Soap Awards with EastEnders, 13 each.

    • The Dallas finale was the highest-rated episode since October 9, 1987 (Gone with the Wind). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
