Members EricMontreal22
Mr Robin Strasser! Did they meet when they were both on soaps? It always amazes me that the soaps didn't seem concerned about hiring actors who had played gay in Boys in the Band--I wouldhave thought back then there would have been more controversy about it (of course Edge of Night hired a bisexual porn star, so... maybe it was more of a big deal in the 80s post AIDS.)
Members DRW50
Yes, they did. I think he was in BITB after he left soaps (although I might be wrong).

Members dc11786
I mentioned Liza Chapman in the "Kitty Foyle" thread. I noticed on IMDb that her son has posted a biography for her that I had not previously seen. It lists her role on "The Secret Storm" as Barbara Bradford. According to her son, she appeared in two episodes. I believe I found an article from the time of Chapman's death that said she had appeared in November 1966. I read here, or another board, that there had been talk of the character appearing in a recurring capacity. I don't know if that's true or if the character was recast.
Members DRW50
March 1971 Daytime TV. One of two article titles in this issue that seem like the magazine going for some sort anti-feminist audience.

Members amybrickwallace
I still giggle when recalling that the show was originally titled The Storm Within, but they had to change the name because an antacid company signed on as a major sponsor. That just strikes me as hilarious.

Members danfling
Slick, a number of performers appeared on The Secret Storm, but I cannot identify who they played or the role of the character on the show. Some of these are Jerry Lacy, Gillian Spencer, Dennis Patrick, and Gloria Howe. I also understand that Robert Gentry appeared on the show briefly. There was a girl who fell in love with the character played by Cliff de Young. She was also in West Side Story. Do you know the name of the actress? Also, District Attorney Ursulla Winthrop had a son. What was the name of the son, and who played him?

Members amybrickwallace
Jerry Lacy was on this show, too? Gee, which NYC based soap WASN'T he on at some point?
Members danfling
One summer, the character of Laurie fled Woodbridge and ran away to New York City. (This was a prelude to the time that Laura ran away on the serial General Hospital.) I SUSPECT that Francesca James was on the show as one of the people in the neighborhood. Laurie was kept in a neighborhood filled with Italian people. Antonio Rey was one of the people in the neighborhood. John Travolta could have been on the show at that time, but it may have been later. I know that it was later when he appeared on The Edge of NIght.
