Carl Winslow is gonna be pissed ... because TMZ has learned the guy who played his son Eddie on "Family Matters" just had his car impounded by cops in L.A.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Darius McCrary was pulled over Monday morning after he allegedly ran a stop sign.

During the stop, we're told cops noticed Eddie's driver's license was expired -- so they ticketed him for the expired license ... then impounded his Jaguar for good measure.

We're guessing Eddie's gonna find a way to blame this all on Waldo Geraldo Faldo.

Darius' rep says the actor was on his way to work when he was pulled over -- and the cops were nice enough to call him a cab so he could make it to work on time.

Karma. It's a bitch.

Why did they even need a voiceover announcing Marcy Rylan taking over Abby AFTER she announces her character's name? Did they think we weren't paying attention to the script? Or maybe they needed to say it again because, "Holy [!@#$%^&*], did they really age Abby by about 20 years?"

And did they steal Ashley's black dress from Vanna White's Sue Wong collection? I don't think she should be dressed like Susan Lucci, but for God's sake, Eileen has a fantastic body and she can wear colors other than black.

And speaking of theft, did Stacy Haiduk swipe Cady McClain's wig?

I never said there was anything wrong with the practice of a recast voiceover. I just found this one redundant and rather annoying. It wasn't like this girl strutted across a room, walked down a hallway, or was waiking up to someone's doorstep; she immediately started dialogue, said her name was Abby and took her coat off...why did we need that ridiculous voiceover after she announced who she was??

Nitpicky, I know, especially considering there are much bigger fish to fry, like the lameass story they've decided to give this poor character(reality show? really? Will this air after Extreme Catwalk?), the ridiculous leapfrog in age she's made, etc. I was just annoyed because it seemed like(as with everything else on this stupid show) they assumed we weren't paying attention when she said her own name or they were doing the voiceover to be cute. LAME.

Abby Newman? When did she change her name? Brad must be rolling over in his grave. I found MR's first day cringeworthy. I love her but she is so wrong for this part. She is too old nad it was awkard watching this near 30 year old act like a teen. I found it annoying and distracting. I hope they SORAS her soon and start writing her like an adult
