Re GL.

Sometime in 75,the Dobsons took over as headwriters,so it will be interesting to see the changes.

Rita Stapleton arrived in 75,she was definitely a Dobson creation.Ann Jeffers arrived to complicate Mike and Leslie's story.

Ken and Janet were written off that year.

Remember that the show was still 30 mins then,so casts were small and not many changes took place.

^It might explain why the ratings for the show at this time dropped.

Robert Cendella, I see his name on the stuff between the Nixon era and Lemay era on AW, and now I see his name on stuff before the Dobsomes arrive. Was he actually that boring as a writer?

I know he was writing for both Somerset and AW at one point, I guess that's why Lemay was brought in. Lemay complained in his book about how static the stories were at this time. Day in and day out, Walter Curtin would pull a scarf out of his safe or somewhere and cry into it, and the Randolph nanny (Rue McLanahan) would poison Pat, who would complain of not feeling well, but never think of seeing a doctor.
