Tonya Lee Williams is fabulous. I'm glad she's booked work outside of Y&R...her comments about MAB wanting to get the 'Black Storyline' up and running again are interesting because it shows that MAB is very keen on keeping those characters segregated from the rest of the show. Awful.
How can you get "the Black Storyline" up if the black characters are featured on Food Stamp Days and the beats of their story are even more unexplored than their white counterparts?

Now, now, Olivia must be making soups to serve with Malcolm's sandwiches...

Neil's at the cash register? And Devon is valeting the cars?

Absolutely...it is in such stark contrast to the Bell/Alden/Smith (and yes though it pains me to admit it) LML days. There wasn't so much of a distinction, from my view there was no 'Black storyline'...there were just excellent black actors working with decent, thoughtful, writing.

Back in the 90s, we had Mamie warring with Jill and Neil, Dru, Malcolm, Olivia, Nathan, Keesha having actual storylines that weren't islanded unto themselves.

It's vile, the show has gone to absolute sh*t.

And it is very likely, almost certain, that it will stay there. The ratings aren't falling. Nothing alarming is happening.

Which is... :blink::o:angry:

Now let's hope when the citizens of GC get their soup nothing stingy, black, & fake floating in it.

Is Olivia back to usher in the sassy diva who can shank a bitch but also pull off being Miss Black America. then Olivia be shown the door again.

LMAO.

so Ho-Livia can mess with yet another of her best friend's men?

...Yet another?

Yeah right that lying bitch MAB wants black storyline on & popping or whatever the hell she said. See this why TLW get treated the way she does. Personally I can't see her or Dru with this Malcolm. Another thing Olivia isn't the one who bring in viewers & these assholes know this. CKlily is worse then Olivia. This family needs a sexy Malcolm or down to earth Dru. I'm not talking about sassy & she also knows she all that [!@#$%^&*].

Yep.

What century is this?

You all shouldn't be angry.

This is EXACTLY what certain people wanted.

A HELPFUL Colored Girl who KNOWS HER PLACE.

INEQUALITY? RACISM? SEXISM?

I said it would be nice to get Aunt Mamie back!

Where is she?

[Laughs] I actually don’t know. But [they can] find her!

Victoria, Tonya & Veronica = LOVE.

On another board somebody said a spoiler saying that Malcolm secret is reveil & Olivia is coming back. Is she's his wife to be.

I wrote he'll finally tell us what he been putting in the sandwiches as meat. ;)

Malcolm lied when he said Olivia told him about Lily's cancer. It's that and another secret they haven't revealed. Just will highlight how ridiculous Olivia and the rest of the family's absence is. Malcolm, Darius or not, deserved a HUGE, well promoted return with tons of screentime. And Olivia should've been a critical part of it. Now he's so marginalized I can't even be mad at the recast bc he's been given NOTHING to even attempt.

Correction....not "the Black Storyline" it is THAT Black Storyline there is a different degree of offense.

Of course they wasn't going to do anything with the Recast Malcolm. Before he even came they wasn't doing anything with the other black folks on the show. & some of us warn ya'll this was going to happen But people was saying the brotha got a job. How can you been against that & al lthat other foolishness.

but I rather when they do show Malcolm once in a blue moon. He will be eye candy. Eye Candy Malcolm shown with is shirt of & boxers once every seven months can do wonders for a sista.
