This story is dreadful in so many ways.

Firstly that Daisy and Ryder exist at all.

Sheila was obsessed with Scott and having his child. She never talked to her mom about other children or a sister.

That Daisy and Ryder would blame Lauren for Sheila's absence-wouldn't they be angry at their own mom?

Then to throw in that Tom is their father-completely ridiculous.

Let's not mention the Lauren double - a horrible story by itself, let alone to be played at the same time as Patty/Emily.

And then not to even justify the whole thing by having Kimberlin come on!

Why are they doing this.

Why not bring in the Shawn Garrett angle if they wanted to use Lauren's history?

Pheila should have been Grace Turner instead of Sheila, since JG is over at B&B and the body types would have at least been more believable. At least when they did the original face change on B&B they went to the trouble to cast Robin Mattson who was the same height and a similar body type to Kimberlin. And they were just fooling other guards, not lovers. Now we are supposed to believe that with plastic surgery you duplicate someones voice exactly and make yourself any size and shape you want or are we supposed to suspend our disbelief to think that all bodies are the same? Patty and Emily have the exact same size, color and shape nipples or does Jack never look at his wife Naked? Are we going to be asked to believe the same of Micheal and Sara? Cloning and brain transplants would make more sense at this point.

When did Y&R become Days? Maybe we should organize a group to go join Maria and clan at the cemetery to piss on Bill Bell's grave.

BadZoe, can I add Bradley Bell to that pissing list? Because he's the biggest hack of them all (and by biggest, I mean he's been hacking a lot longer).

Y&R makes Days look like a grounded, realistic soap right now. That is indeed saying something. More than that, though, I don't think I've ever been as bored with Days.

I think what sticks most in my craw about this storyline is Tracey Bregman's defense of it to TV Guide's Michael Logan. Frankly, I am so sick of Y&R'ers playing the "Bill Bell Did It, Too!" card. Yes, Bill Bell once buried one of his characters alive. Yes, he also locked another one in a cage once. Yes, he even had a Black man disguise himself as a White man in order to bring down the Mob. But you know what? He didn't write these out-there stories all the same time; he was very careful not to involve just anyone in them; and he always took time to explore characters' motivations so that what did the villains did in these stories made absolute sense.

Here's the problem. Sheila is an ONLY CHILD. this was discussed between Molly and Lauren on a couple of occasions. We weren't slapped in the faces with this fact, but it's true, just the same. to her credit, Bregman is doing her BEST with this material. the story is still an epic failure, but she's making it just a "touch" better with her performances.
