AMC: SOD Spoilers on Palmer's Funeral

No Petey at Palmer's funeral? I wonder if something went wrong between Daniel Kennedy and AMC because there is no good explanation for how they have discarded him and the character of Petey.

So much potential wasted. :(

S&K said they're planning on rebuilding the Cortlandts. I'm guessing that they're going to recast Petey sometime very soon, so having Kennedy there wouldn't be such a good idea. I'm sure some mention will be made of Petey's absence.

I don't think LB had much to do with the memorial. Not sure. From the Soapnet interview DS and DK did:

Did you two have a character or couple where an idea came to you right away? Donna: "Yes. One thing that came to us right away [surrounded] James Mitchell [Palmer Cortlandt]'s passing. We love Palmer and his whole legacy. So, to be able to get in there, we decided to design a lot of our stories around him. It will be a Pandora's Box opening when his will is read. We wanted to use that and a lot of characters coming off of that. That was special to us."

I think the will reading happens in a different episode.

Sounds like S&K are directing the story that comes from Palmer's death, while LB merely wrote the tribute episode.

I wasn't sure, it was confusing. They did say they've been back since Greenlee returned, so they might be having some influence in storylines like Pratt did before he got his HW credit

Yes, I'm sure they were consulting with LB as to the direction of certain storylines.

If these morons are writing AMC and that other moron Passante is writing OLTL, who's writing ATWT?

  • Member

I thought Passanante wasn't starting at OLTL for a bit longer. Aren't there only a few more months of scripts to write for ATWT?

Either that or Goutman is writing the stuff.

I am really looking forward to the Adam/Nina scenes.

Me too. It'll be good to see two REAL actors do their thing. Plus Taylor Miller was my very first soap girlcrush.

It should be the same week that Adam leaves. Palmer's death is what prompts him to leave town(yet his brother's death barely had much impact  )
