Lizzie said she'd had the same number since she was 21. I definitely would've whooped Tamra's ass. And despite her crazy ways, I only started to like Tamra just a couple seasons ago. She was one of the main reasons I stopped watching, mainly Tamra and Gretchen.

ETA:

Re-watching RHONY from season one on Hulu. I'm on Episode 2 and it's shocking that they're already dealing with Mario not wearing his wedding ring, flirting with other women and Ramona (of course) blaming the other woman for coming onto him. It just goes to show that he's probably been cheating on her for years, but with social media he finally got caught.

1st season on NYC is SO different from the rest. The biggest tiff is a friendly competitive tennis match between Ramona and Jill. Oh and that brief thing with Ramona vs Alex/Simon. Is the reunion on hulu? I have yet to see that, back when it wasn't a big event.

Season 1 was boring. I think it was only like 5 or 6 episodes. Not much to structure storylines out of. Things really started to come together in year 2

It's an interesting comparison watching season one with the show nowadays (along with most other Housewives) where in season one it was ALL about their families. You got to know Jill's daughter, Luann's kids and housekeeper Rosie, Ramona's daughter (LOVED her constant embarrassment of her mother) etc. Nowadays you couldn't even identify who's kids are whose.

I don't find season one of NYC to be boring at all. It looks like it was filmed in 1995, but it is still very entertaining as an introduction. The dynamics are good, the storylines are interesting and it perfectly sets things up for the next season. I miss the more organic days of the housewives!

I liked Season 1, too, which was like a teaser mini-season. I liked that it laid the groundwork with all the HWs for potential conflict (everybody looking down on Alex and Simon) and the ladies were pretty unvarnished and really showing us a glimpse into their lives, instead of a 'staged glimpse.'

Do you think she is, though? I know when things got too toxic on NY, Jill Zarin got turfed out, but since RHoNY is struggling ratings-wise (not content-wise IMO -- I love the current set of HWs), I wonder if Bravo might not take fear and keep Tamra on.

Tamra just inspires fear in everybody.

Such a waste! First Bravo drops promos during the social edition of RHONJ, then they wait almost a week to give it a page on the website and officially announce it, now it's set to premiere in 3 days in a horrible timeslot with back-to-back episodes. What was the point of buying the show if they had no intention of even attempting to gain viewers? Even if it got similar ratings to Ladies of London, that would be great for a show that is the cheapest on the network since they don't produce it. I'm also bitter because I think this Housewives show is legitimately good and could've gained a good amount of viewers.

I think they could drop Tamra, but I doubt very much they would ask Gretchen back.. she and Slade had as big of backlash as Tamra did. I think Heather could play the snooty bitch to perfection with Vicki coming back for one more season. I have a feeling Shannon is coming back.. you could tell Andy loves her and she seems to be 'real' thus far. She's like an old money version of Vicki smile.png

Episode 17 of this season of OC is titled Eat, Pray, Run... which looks to be the Tamra running and crying episode.

Lizzie seems ready to quit and Danielle opted to not be a housewife so I can see the show hiring two new housewives.. or even having Jeana come back for visits.

I could see Jeana being more interested in a return if Tamra were gone, and I think her friendship with Vicki could actually have a shot at mending with her gone as well.

Jeana and Tamra patched up whatever issues they had onscreen the following season after the drink throw. On her most recent WWHL appearance, Tamra said they are fine with each other and that Jeana even stood up to speak on her behalf in regards to her latest custody issue, I think it was

Yes.

Production doesn't really play around when it comes to the wives messing with them. Tho there have been some exceptions recently.

But I don't think she's mentally fit to go on, tho I think the same about Shannon. Like they need a legit psych exam.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
