IA, Kathy, looks so trashy. She looks too low class for a show like this. The first 2 seasons were all about the Manzo family but it looks like this one will focus on Theresa's clan. It should be interesting to see how the shift alters the dynamics of the other women. I hope Caroline and Jaqueline dont come across irrelevant

NYC is airing twice this week? Cool!

I cant help but think of her when I see Melissa. She looks alot like her in the picture and trailer

Okay, I want to like Alex I really do..but SHUT UP...Yes, we get it you state your opinions now, but does everything have to be an argument? Talk about fighting for camera time. Cindy is still completely irrelevant to me and Kelly continues to be sane :-\

TEAM ALEX!!! I thought Alex had every right to question Sonja and demand answers. Sonja completely lost a fan last night in me. I love Alex stepping up and not letting anyone get by with any BS.

Although if it is truly "Blondes vs. Brunettes" this season (as Zarin likes to call it)... then perhaps Sonja and Alex make up?

Miami

I know Im late but I just saw the reunion. Who's bright idea was it to do it live? What a mess. All I saw was women shouting and screaming over each other. It was so unorganized and Andy sucked as moderator as he had no control over them. I rea that these things tend to go on for houras and they edit it down into 2-3 hours for a more cohesive show. Should have done that here. Plus doing it on Watch What Happens made it look so cheap and low-class.

There was so much drama but I didnt even connect many of these issues from the show. Im guessing cutting the season short played a big part in that. I didnt understand what some of these women were arguing over. Oh and how tasteless of Adriana to say that Chrisy gives blowjobs to 19 year olds. That only made Adriana look bad, not Christy. That was such a crude ciomment to say and no doubt it would have been edited out had it been taped. I didnt find that entertaining and it was embarassing to see the women like this.

I didnt even realize Alexia was there till the final 5 minutes as they didnt talk to her at all till the end

New York

Oh boohooo Jill. I had to roll my eyes when she whined about Alex bullying her and that she wont leave her alone. Girl, STFU

Andy said everything with Miami kinda got fugged up...They didn't even originally have a reunion planned from what I remember reading and then by the time they decided to do one, live was the only option...And he claims Miami was just there as a filler and some bull about the winter weather and wanting to show the beach...Blah.

Here's the exact answer.

It seems like Bravo shows shot in Miami [Miami Social and the Real Housewives of Miami] have some ratings challenges. Any insight on this?

I don't know, I feel pretty good about the Miami Housewives. We threw it on with not a lot of promotion and I think those woman are great characters. The truth of the matter was, we put it on because everyone in America was going through such a horrible winter and we just kind of realized we had Miami on the shelf, ready to go, and we needed a little more time to finish New York [Housewives] to make it perfect. Let's throw it on as a six-week kind of antidote to all the winter madness.

And then by the time we decided to do a reunion show, we were three weeks in and didn't have time to post it properly, so we decided to do one live. And I think the fact that we [did] a live reunion show speaks to our wanting to do something to celebrate the end of the show.

thanks for that. The show was a good skeleton for what could have been an amazing season but the editing was horrible, it was poorly structured and things simply did not seem to connect properly. I think they aired NY and held off on Miami, they would have had a much stronger piece of work to show. I dont think America was looking at Bravo and thinking oh its so cold outside so let me turn on tv and see women enjoying the hot amazing weather of Miami.

The OC this season is the most "real" and thus the dullest. The women don't have the cash, they don't have the wars and they don't have anything beyond Coto.

Tamra and Vicki are definitely the ones who are carrying this show. Alexis, Gretchen and Peggy are boring and stupid.

NY is fierce. BH is fabulous. NJ is trashtastic. ATL is awesome.

The first two, three seasons were real, but I was entertained because the women were interesting. Now I fine myself straining to find anything to keep my interest. Peggy is forgettable, Gretchen has always bored me and Tamra tries too hard. At this point I'd keep Vicki, Tamra (for crazy) and Alexis. Try to convince Jeana and/or Lauri to return and add a sixth housewife who will add diversity to this bunch. Like the old days.

I dont find OC boring but man these women are so vile and repulsive. Alexis is the only one that comes across likeable. Peggy isnt so bad but she's new and I dont know or care for her. I love Vicki but she and Tamra feed off each other which makes her look bad. Tamra is the worst. She is SUCH a bitch this season and downright mean. IA with those that said the earlier seasons were the best. I just finished watching season 2 and they were all likeable. There wasnt much drama to be found yet the season was quite entertaining

IA that Jeanna should return. Man I loved her. I dont think Lauri needs to come back though. One thing I will agree on is that Gretchen should be dropped. I dont feel she adds anything anymore and she's gotten so unlikeable this year

    • As it happens, 40 years ago this week, ABC and CBS revealed their 1985-86 fall schedules. NBC revealed theirs the week before. ABC's would end up changing. The original plan for Tuesdays was to have Diff'rent Strokes lead the night, with He's the Mayor at 8:30, followed by Who's the Boss at 9, Growing Pains at 9:30, and Moonlighting at 10. There was some surprise over MacGruder & Loud not getting renewed, but it was considered part of Aaron Spelling's declining influence at the network. Yes, Dynasty was still a hit (for a while longer), but Aaron's shows steadily took up less and less of the schedule. Fall 1984: Seven hours, five of which were new programming (Dynasty, Hotel, Glitter, Matt Houston, T.J. Hooker, The Love Boat, Finder of Lost Loves; MacGruder & Loud aired at midseason, by which time Glitter was gone.). Fall 1985: Five hours, two of which were new programming (Dynasty, Hotel, The Colbys, Hollywood Beat, The Love Boat). Fall 1986: Three-and-a-half hours, a half-hour of which was new programming (Dynasty, Hotel, The Colbys, Life With Lucy). Fall 1987: Two hours, none of which was new programming (Dynasty and Hotel; HeartBeat premiered at midseason). Fall-winter 1988: Two hours, none of which was new programming (Dynasty and HeartBeat). This led to Variety's infamous shady headline in spring 1989: "Aaron's Dynasty Over"
    • I hope for a multi-year renewal, too! This is the only show I've been excited to see the next episode in forever. Considering their demos are quite decent. the initial episodes showed there is still an interest in daytime, and it has helped to boost the rest of the soap line up at times, it should be around for a while.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans. Exactly.  Plus, because viewers were so burned out by the kind of serialized storytelling that was beginning to affect even half-hour comedies, I think MSW represented a nice change of pace.  You didn't have to watch every week, or watch from the beginning of each season, to know what was going on with Miss Fletcher.  Instead, you could watch a complete story in one episode, de-stress from whatever had happened in your own life last week, gear yourself up for the week ahead, and be okay. If you notice, though, there were differences between those two shows and what Aaron Spelling had produced in the past.  For one thing, there was a greater emphasis on youth; and while characters on 90210 and MP certainly had more disposable incomes than the average viewer, their wealth wasn't as opulent as what we'd seen on DYNASTY or on "Hart to Hart."  Even the battles among Alison, Amanda, Billy and others at that advertising agency weren't as histrionic as those between Denver Carrington and ColbyCo.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me. ETA-I feel like the Bistro might just die and people will just pretend to order food there like Leo did today.  Sophia is on bed rest so no one works there anymore.  They can use that set for something else.
