I'd actually be really interested in seeing Jac with a different cast, and I'm curious about her son and husband ~10 years later. But I'm not sure the 20th OC season is the right time... nor would I want Gretchen back after her disastrous season, which by the looks of it, she'd be coming back as a friend along with Jen.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the best posters I know. ❤️ Hope you are all holding up OK. I've only now been able to catch up on RHOSLC. First of all, what is Bronwyn going to be like now that Todd is divorcing her? Will she have the funds to throw around? Heather is going to be sooooo smug now. Secondly, even though i think Meredith should own up to what went down on that commercial flight with Brittani.... why on earth do Bad Weather care so much about it? I am sick of hearing about it and sick of Meredith having to account herself to those two gargoyles. It's not their fight. Let it go. Brittani already has.

Ok, Potomac next. Looks like a solid season. Can'twait to see Monique. Then BH and the one they are calling Scamanda. Is she as big a scammer as Erika? I'm almost afraid to dip back into OC again. Is it worth it?

First of all, Merry Xmas to you as well. I hope you finally got some rest on from that crazy job.

And yes, it's definitely been a solid season so far. No down period at all really. Though I do need to watch the latest episode at some point. hehe.

RHOP

Well, no new episode today. Good. That means at some point that I will catch up to the next new episode. Until then...some thoughts.

I continue to like that the season has its own flow. And it really has found a good balance between individual scenes and group scenes. Another thing that Production has done good with...well re-found because it used to have it in other seasons...has been its ability to find new angles. Like Stacey vs Tia? Unexpected since the rivalry that Stacey has had most of the season has been either Keiarna or Ashley or low-key Gizelle...but that keeps the show refreshed.

As for their fight...I see both sides really. Stacey has stayed lying throughout the season. And people are catching her in those lies. And not just Production. I love how she 'rises' above though with her delusive nature and smooth HW moves though so it's fun to watch. How can anyone trust her when they are getting to know her? HOWEVER, Tia...I see you. She has had a great first season showing. But I can't help, but notice how she be giving out information that perhaps she should not. It's giving bone collecting. I mean...should Ashley feel threatened? hehe. I feel Stacey is picking up on that. As is some of the audience. Things to make you go hmmm.

GIZELLE. So this episode we had the long-awaited sit-down between her and Monique. And? Surprisingly anticlimactic. Of course, Monique mentioned when she was on WWHL that a LOT was cut out. Perhaps those scenes had the meat. At any rate, they did have to sit down so I'm glad they did. And she gave some kind of an apology, too, so...let's move on.

WENDY. Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroduuuuuuuucttttttion!!!! They on recording Wendy like crazy. And we all side-eyed the scene with her and the debit card. And any money move she makes...they're THERE. Uh oh now.

ASHLEY. HOW COULD YOU??? I don't care that in real time...they appear to be back together...Ashley was dead wrong for breaking up with Josh on tv. That was sooo foul. Not as foul? Was her vs Stacey? 'No more lies/No more negativity' still lives rent free in my head. And her side comments during Stacey vs Tia were hilarious.

KEIARNA. Not even in the episode except for a brief confessional. Meanwhile, Greg is shopping for a ring with her mother and Angel? Color me shocked.

ANGEL. Outside of the ring scene, they let up on her this episode.

TIA. Like I said, I see her. She does volunteer information at time. The real question is does she do it because she's being transparent and genuine or because she's subtly stirring the pot? For now, I would saaaay the former, but the amount of times that it has happened has been giving Bone Collector so I could see why Stacey might have an issue. Still in the argument with her, Tia really was speaking nothing, but facts to me and Stacey actually could not take it. It got heated, but I felt Tia gathered her. And bonus...she took a shady potshot at the product on her way out.

STACEY. HAHAHA! Not Baby Kenya coming out!!! That said...sophomore slump WHERE? Second season curse WHERE? She continued to give this episode. And then...Detroit came out when she threw Tia out of her event. She even had a gay sidekick...who she really shouldn't have listened to. lol. I am always here for Stacey vs Ashley and that gave. I giggled at Gizelle and Keiarna not even wanting to go to her event. Fine since we had her vs Tia as well. Who knew?

Sidenote...happy to see Jassi post-wedding.

Another good episode.

I'm not sure if we are doing a BEST&WORST for the Housewives this year...and I have no horse in the race since I only consistently watched RHOM (still need to finish the reunion) and RHOP this year, but it did make me wonder and want to ask...

...one thing Bravo has done this past year has been its ability to find a new batch of newbies that almost immediately leave an impression on the audience.

So...WHO WAS THE BEST (and Worst?) Newbie of the Year for you?

Best newbie: Tia from RHOP

Worst newbie: Angel from RHOP or private plane Stephanie(RHOM)

Hehe. I feel like Angel just might win it by a landslide for Worst so good to see Stephanie thrown in the ring. lol.

Hmmm...on the fence about Tia. Still have to watch the last new episode. But so far, so good, she definitely is having a great freshman season and has been doing everything right as a Housewife. And now has a feud.

Tia is easily the best newbie.

Angel is easily the worst newbie. She talks a big game in podcasts and in the after show, but she falls absolutely flat during the show itself. Stephanie and her private plan etiquette on RHOM is a close second, but her reactions at the reunion kind of spared her for me.

Stacey Rusch is a queen, icon, legend, and she is the moment. She made Vanity Fair for goodness sake. Talk about length, talk about drama, talk about stones, talk about comfort so lightweight...nobody can touch her level of epic at the moment. No season 2 curse for this lady. Season 2 blossoming is more like it.

Her sit down with Carlos King is worth a look:

I listened to this interview. It is one of the best Carlos has done, and it is thanks to a guest who is effortlessly entertaining. Some HWs out there have their reads already committed to memory, and you can tell. But some of the questions Stacey wasn't expecting. She still delivered. I thought Carlos's advice at the end, about not believing the hype, just enjoying it, because it will eventually all end, and to stay humble, was the best advice I've heard anyone give a HW. I know it's early days, but I'd go as far to say that Baby Kenya may even be better than the original. Because of her unbothered lightness. The way she QVCed that glass of lukewarm water! Kenya was bothered, even when she said she wasn't.

With Stacey setting the scene, and Monique having dipped her toe back into RHOP, I am wondering how Karen's return is going to play out. I love Karen a lot, but in recent years, the fronting of an image that was crumbling before our eyes became hard to bear. She was unable to confront her problems onscreen, probably under legal advisement, but now I wonder how it will be for her with her dirty laundry now out there.... and with RHOP having changed in some way, will she fit in? Has she evolved too? How will she react up close with Wendy who felt Karen betrayed their friendship and now has legal problems of her own?

Based on their interaction at BravoCon and the interview, we know that Stacey loves Karen.

I think Karen will return and thrive because the pretence is over. She’s been tried, convicted, served her time, and is now going to tell the truth.

While I have enjoyed the season so far without her, there STILL is something missing. And I feel that something is Karen. And the fact that for the first third of the season, it feels like Karen has a storyline (thanks to Gizelle and Cookie) even though she is not there reveals that.

But your questions? Ooooo yes. The very reason that unlike another inmate named Jen Shah, Karen has built-in story that will enrich the current canvas even more so even more reason for her return. It is almost perfectly timed. Will she fit in...Gizelle and Cookie ensure she will by keeping her presence this season by much present. Has she evolved? Her main storyline for next season. How will she react to Wendy? Storyline Number 2. ;) And now that Wendy has her legal problems, how will Karen react? THAT will be the REAL tea.

Ooooo good. And given Stacey vs Gizelle is still a thing, another wrinkle in current dynamic.

I think Karen will thrive as well. It was too perfectly timed for her return before the Wendy mess. And now it's moreso.

I agree -- there is something missing. Karen is an anchor on the show. Gizelle has been doing well this, season, but there is still something detached, cold, even slightly passive about her as an anchor. I also agree that Gizelle and Cookie have worked to reinforce the tie of Karen with this season. And of course, the Wendy-Karen breakdown, along with Wendy's jaw-dropping arrest on fraud charges, are both built-in SLs. I guess i was worried (needlessly) that the redirected RHOP might leave La Dame behind.

I missed the BravoCon interaction, but Stacey mentioned in the interview that Karen Huger was her favourite, followed by Katie. Which I can totally see. Karen and Stacey share wit and a certain lightness of demeanor.

Yes, the pretence is over, and Karen quietly served her time. I hope Karen knows she has nothing left to lose but to be herself.
