i dont care. im team Jennifer when it comes to this fight. Danielle kept getting in her personal space. Even after telling her to calm down multiple times, Danielle kept pointing her finger in Jen's face. I can see why Jen would push her. I also can see why Danielle would react to hit her but she did it with a cup which at that point becomes a weapon and could have caused more damage

With Nene likely not coming back, Kandi gone, Kenya gone, Porsha supposedly not getting to do a lot of the filming that the show had anticipated, they may try to get Phaedra or Sheree again...unless they get truly desperate and Kim Z returns (wasn't that some rumor).

Hehe. What are you talking about, Cat? We STILL been discussing Douglas Marland's Rules in the GH thread since March when Patrick Mulcahey's brief run started. I at least feel he was applying them which is why now that we are approaching the end of his on-air material, we are seeing the middle of his stories and I feel he definitely used the rule about keeping everyone, observe them, and start playing around to see what fits...which has led to surprising things (Drew/Nina, return of Femme Fatale Ava, Liason revisit?) and what I hoped...for some board people here...the natural exits to characters that no one liked.  But...lol...a moot point now. And...wrong thread.

You definitely hit the bullseye on this one. Especially your last paragraph and probably what I love Dubai so much. Not this season or last season (other than that brief cameo by Shady Phae Phae) did I at all doubt that this was a friend group. We know the best HW shows are the shows where the cast are friends before the show. Old NY. MIAMI. RHOP at the start. Now this...these are women who hang out on and off screen. That is also why it hit so much when it was noticeable that Lesa was on the outs with the ladies because they were all a friend group. Good to see she is still friends with them regardless of the forthcoming Ayan/Lesa fallout.

I may think many things of Sara, but I always love her scenes with her son.

Now that you said all that about Caroline, I am curious what you will think of her and Sergio fight on tonight's episode. I know a clip is running around. I haven't watched, but some people are already mad at him over it.

I like both Carolines, so I just can't pick a side over the sit-down. And I honestly thought I would lean to one side or the other still because Brooks really has been doing waaaay too much. But...I do get it. But like I said, last week, the only reason I get it is that it was mostly in the Confessionals. While Brooks kinda said it to Caroline, I need both ladies to say it to each other and out of Confessional. But again, once Caroline knew she needed to have her guard up with Brooks, that brunch was done. Le sigh. Onward and upward with those two.

We are going to have to agree to disagree lol. re: Saba. I've been proven wrong on FOH before so I can keep an open mind. But so far, instant dislike. But...I have plenty of time to change my mind. Why? She should be recurring throughout the season. I even think I saw online that she gets into it with someone. I might be wrong.

But jokes aside, the sh*t is NOT fair. I can't with Bravo trying to take a moral high ground on what is acceptable and what isn't when Bravo created and thrived off toxicity. And we still don't know the full context of the exchange. And Brice Sanders (on Twitter) is saying Kenya was cleared via the investigation, but Kenya didn't like the parameters Bravo set up and opted out.

Meanwhile, Sandoval and Whitney (of Southern Charm) shared images of their female cast members. Gizelle suggested Chris B. tried to push up on her. Heather lied on production, which sparked a whole investigation, to protect Jen. NJ husbands watched a sex tape that Danielle Staub didn't release on air. The Pump Rules cast engaged in racist acts against Faith and were later given a whole new show. A slew of criminals performing criminal acts on TV, but now Bravo wants to have a moral compass. Miss me with the sh*t.

In the words of Cryangle, "THE LINE IS ALWAYS MOVING!"

And lest we forget in the case of Whitney on SC...he basically was her boss as the main producer/creator of said show. Even if it was not shown, it's the boss talking about you, creating a toxic work environment.

And yet that show keeps on going versus the better show (SC: NOLA) was cut off at the knees.

But let me mind my business.

I liked Daniel...I mean SC Savannah, too...at least until I found out Season 2 was completely manufactured. Very little of NOLA was that. But they were a friend group first.

I heard. I believed I gave up on that show around the time they introduced Leva. I heard some of the messiness, but THAT was a whole other level. But like you...I feel the same. Otherwise, they would have addressed it. And don't get me started on BELOW DECK franchise BTS mess.

If Kenya wanted to make a case for saying they are singling her out over other shows, she has A LOT to pull from.

    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.
