Actually, there was talk that the producers did offer Faye a chance to be a full time cast member for season 4, but that she turned them down to all the negative feedback she is getting (including threats to her life, etc) plus claiming her decorating business was being affected due to her presence on the show. Whether this is true or not, I guess if she had agreed.. it shows that the producers don't listen to viewer feedback since it appears that with the focus on Faye and the toxic Adrienne/Brandi feud that the ratings were dropping. Not sure if they are connected, or if just the fact that Monday night is a busy night tv wise.

I admit I watch RHOBH for the house porn.. and when Brandi/Taylor lack nice houses, it kind of disappoints. What I loved about season 1 through 2 was while there was drama/fights, they still showcased some fun episodes as well. Season 3 did have a few nice episodes including Oahi and Paris.. but it would be nice to have one vacation where there isn't fighting.. just one episode or two would be nice... sort of like a breather to the drama.

Just a pair of try-hards that stayed on way past their expiration date. At least Kenya's buddy kept it 100 without the attention-hoing bells and whistles. (His King of Zamunda costume wasn't too shabby, either)

Until I hear about her defaulting on loans and see Riley sleep on the floor in a backwoods chateau made of sticks, I'll maintain that Kandi wins when it comes to maintaining her money.

RHOV...

Jody, Ronnie and Amanda are positively obsessed with Mary. Obsessed is the only adjective that properly sums up how they discuss, plot against and plan their lives around her. Jody, especially, comes off really poorly. Amanda's so basic, thinking she's clever when she's really thick as a plank, that she's irrelevant. Ronnie comes off so out of it (I laughed when she was comparing herself at the restaurant to being sober, she seemed lit even then, her words coming out garbled as hell) that I have to wonder what she thinks when she watches the show now, she's gone from Hero to Zero in the span of a season.

Ioulia is a spoiled Russian princess who doesn't give a damn and just wants to party. I respect how she is very direct about everything, the reactions of the other Wives be damned.

Robin is sweet and it's good to see that she finally got her act together about Mary. Next week's confrontation with Ronnie looks amazing. Just in case everyone didn't know, Robin worked as a sharp shooter in a men's maximum security prison in Texas before she moved to Vancouver...so she knows of what she speaks when she says to Ronnie "I'll come up to you any time I please when you're accusing me of breaking the law".

Mary has truly been through the wringer with the coven. Next week...well let's just say things turn around for Mary and Jody comes off as a psychopath.

I think Caroline looks GREAT!

uh I dont think what happened with Wig and Kando means that Lamdo is noy a smart with her money, she was just being a good friend and got shafted, lesson learned and in the end she is still the top bread winner of RHOA!

I am calling BULLSHIOT on whoever created that LIE bout Faye turning down a spot on RHOBH, that Heffa was salivating for a spot and everyone knows it LOL!

Speaking of She by Shebroke:

In other housewives news:

RaMOANa, Heather, and Carole are a sure in for next season RHONYC. The other women are supposedly in negotiations. IMO, I'd rather them keep Aviva and scrap LuMan Luann and HOnja Sonja.

Also, has HOanna Joanna and Romain Lettuce broken up again?

Addressing recent comments . . . Y'all better leave my Ana (RHOM) and Kathy (RHONJ) alone! They're goddesses!

Speaking of Faye, I had no idea she was a mother. I watched WWHL when Rinna was recently on and Kyle said we never get to see her as a mother. I wonder if her kids are adopted and if not, what do they look like. If she really is black, you could probably look at them and see it

    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.  These episodes aren't consecutive, but if you ever have time, they are worth a watch. They are bits and pieces from January and April of 1979 - April in and out of prison, her past calling to her via her psychic powers (and the suicide of Miles' wife Denise, who had murder framing in mind). April 1979 has the end of Winter Austen (such a fantastic soap name).  I don't want to drop a ton of links but you can find playlists on Youtube.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
