Without talking about who was let go....what is going on at OLTL?? Why all the massive firings??

I think RC is on his way out too. I do think they're trying to woo back Roger Howarth, but I can't see him returning given he left for what they wanted to turn Todd into, which they have done. Unless they go the TSJ is actually Walker Lawrence brainwashed by Mitch, and was never Todd.

I'm wondering if Ron is on his way out too. Seems like everything he wrote is being dismantled in a short amount of time.

I would hardly call them "massive firings" when none of those let go had been on the show for more than about three years. Same goes for calling it a bloodbath.

I'm not upset over the last firing. I thought she was suppose have done a few episode when she came back but they decided to keep her longer.

I understand that but for those who loved the actors being fired it massive. How can it not be a bloodbath?? How many firings have happened in the last few weeks?? It's up to 6 or more already....

So far *confirmed* have been 4 contract firings: CH, DD, SC, and BC. AW and TS are on recurring basis now. And SE was already recurring....and you can't exactly fire someone who's on recurring status, you just quit using them.

I think it's more or less just spring cleaning, and getting rid of some of the excess cast members...after all OLTL does have a rather large cast these days.

WTF happened to OLTL? It seemed like in a matter of weeks, it completely fell apart. I see absolutely nothing interesting going on right now or anything to look forward to on the horizon. Everything is a big fail. The characters are acting out of character, the stories suck and the plots make little sense with no build up or payoff. I have so much anticipation for AMC and even get some enjoyment out of GH but OLTL is so bland right now.

It is a sea change in terms of storylines and direction, but I'm not sure RC will be let go. Maybe a co-HW but RC or not, new HW, co-HW or not, you don't do all this for a cancelled soap.

I think that is a response to ABC demanding OLTL slash its budget. OLTL is the anti-Days. OLTL is cutting off the supporting players instead of the main problem players. I have to think that lay offs are occurring behind the scenes also. I doubt that RC's job in jeopardy.

The show has a different feel to it. Something is definitely going down.

All the people fired so far, for the most part were some of the things keeping me hanging on. I really don't see good things in OLTL's future, creative wise.

Im about ready to drop the show. I need a good reason to stick with it but I cant think of one

It's like they blamed these minor characters but the major players who are more responsible.
