Y&R needs to cut their losses with Malcolm: fire him, and bring him back every summer for a short stint PLAYED BY SHEMAR. Meanwhile, cast a 20-25-year-old actor as Nate Hastings. Have Nate and Olivia move back to GC full time (poor Tonya Lee Williams would probably be stuck on recurring, but that's okay as long as she's used). Put Nate in a triangle with Devon and Roxy. Make it an interesting, compelling love triangle regardless of "race". Furthermore, have Nate befriend Chance and/or Daniel so he doesn't get stuck on Winters Island. Then, have Olivia pursue Neil. Instant drama since he's dating her best friend Ashley. THEN, bring Drucilla back, played by Victoria Rowell. Let's say she's had amnesia or something. Anyway, Olivia immediately backs off Neil, but Ashley won't. Sharon takes Drucilla's side, Phyllis backs Ashley. And then have Cane and Lily leave GC and sail off into the sunset on a sailboat.
