But the openings are so ham fisted--the baby in the air or kids jumping freeze frame The Statue ofLiberty? We get that they're an imigrant family bla bla bla bla BLA. Did they think it would be just too much to send them to space so they made an underground city? I know soap press at the time went on about the sets--they're certainly huge! And ugly and don't look remotely real (I despise the spaceship heaven designs for Vicki in Heaven as well--one soap article at the time said ti had sets liek a Steven Spielberg film. LOL!!!! Umm. If you look at them traditionally throughout the shows history, it almost seems like the one we see today is on fast forward....I like the longer one better. You can hear many of his cues online. Yes, it works for special episodes--a funeral, maybe Christmas (not that they're the same ) but not everyday.
