Episode was fire!!!! It was jam packed with potential storylines. so many ways this show could go. It was a fun watch!!!
I really adored the main cast including Lil’ Muffin. Valeria and Naomi are my favorites, and I’m already obsessed with their Brooke/Erica inspired feud. Really bought relationships and bond between the girls. Great chemistry amongst the group.
the show looks beautiful. The lighting is awesome, nobody looks ashy!
I think it’s a huge problem with the show. The newer professional dancers haven’t been properly introduced. In the past, we had the two episodes a week, which gave them more space to do more professionals-only dance performances, etc. I almost feel like they should cut the cast to 10 or fewer due to the fewer episodes. It would feel less rushed.
Interestingly, DWTS beat The Voice on Monday in the demo and tied with 9-1-1 for tops on the night. The Voice tends to wane after the blind auditions, but still.
Have you all seen the episode where Ridge is chilling on a sleeping Caroline's bed in just a pair of red manties? That was a bit of a surprise.
It feels like the flesh parade really kicks off beginning on Memorial Day 1987. Might as well hook the young/summertime viewers, I guess.
I'm also amused by Ridge/Ronn strictly wearing Speedos or briefs, whereas Thorne/Clayton and Eric/John are in shorts.
Speaking of which, a couple years ago when she got into that legal trouble, I went to look for information on the conclusion of that case and stumbled upon (much to my chagrin) legions of fanboys lusting over those scenes in Tremors where she was down to her skivvies. There were GIFs and guys gushingly expressing their long-held crushes for her. So the implications of a poster that Finn was not attractive enough to somehow 'compete' with Emily for Tonio, which never happened, by the way, (although I think there is some confusion with Jennifer Ashe, who was sporting a short 'do during that storyline), but there are clearly fanbases of dudes who'd disagree with that assessment.
I'm actually glad that ATWT was never really one of those soaps were just looks were an avatar for desire or attraction. I mean, if a character like Hal Munson (no offense to dearly departed BH, who was a highly talented actor with vast range) could be desired by three women in the course of a year (two which expressed a willingness to fight for him), I think people should use that same lens when discussing the spectrum of attraction and desire for the women characters.
