David Zyla has been the costume designer for the last six years. :)

 The names go by so fast, it's hard to notice. Sorry!

They credit the director who directed the majority of the scenes. So, if Casey Childs directed 70 percent of the episode and Steven Williford only 30 percent, CC would get the credit.

Or that too.

God help them.

By the end of the year it will read:

My only actual reference is the All My Children A&E Biography Special where Conal O'Brien was directing episode #8442. In a brief segment going over what happens in the production meeting, O'Brien stated that to the department heads they'd also be doing a piece of 8441 and a piece of 8443. So I'm thinking if scenes are slotted in on a director's particular day, he directs them -- even if they air as part of another director's episode. I wouldn't think they'd pull in three different directors all on one day just to shoot a piece from 41, then one director to shoot all the pieces of 42, and then another director to shoot the piece of 43.

But then again, I think practically, so I could be wrong.

They credit the director who directed the majority of the scenes. So, if Casey Childs directed 70 percent of the episode and Steven Williford only 30 percent, CC would get the credit.

This makes great sense. I'll bet it works like that.

But it also raises an intriguing thing about the credits. Because it truly means we can't necessarily judge a director's "style" based on a particular episode. As Kubla notes, the episode might only contain 60-70% of that director's content.

With the modern way of shooting, it almost makes you think they should remove solo director credits, and just credit the directing TEAM for each episode (all the names).

Thanks to both of you for your insights!

Shelley Curtis was listed as AMC's Director, today. And by all accounts, she did a pretty good job. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the credits unfold.

She's not a bad director. She is very good actually. She sucks as EP just like Goutman does. Goutman is good at directing but awful as an EP.

I doubt Kreizman can get Ellen Wheeler a position behind-the-scenes at AMC, unless it's on the writing team. But I wouldn't be surprised if he crafted a story that required GhostCindy to pop in.

I have no problem with Ellen Wheeler acting. She's a GREAT actress. It's the only thing she can do well. I'd love nothing more than for a soap to sign her to a 4-year contract so she can't produce anymore soaps.

Also, to make AMC fans feel better, here's an idea of Kriezman's greatest hits at ATWT. Keep in mind he hasn't even been around six months and it's already this bad....

He brought on his GL fave Tom Pelphrey and his mysterious character has an anti-aging serum and for a long time we've believed him to be James Stenbeck, a man in his 70s. Think Denise Vasi playing Angie. Or better, the actor who plays Petey as Adam or Palmer. Sound crazy right? Well it gets better. Turns out he isn't James Stenbeck, he just has a microchip implanted in his brain that makes him think he's a Stenbeck. Great stuff ey?

He really is doing a great job if you love unintentional comedy. Like a Mystery Science type of thing.

Yeah, that is just the stupidest back pedaling [!@#$%^&*] I have ever heard. They'd have been better off sticking with Pelphrey as fountain of youth James... though wouldn't Paul and Barbara have recognized him off the bat? I sure as hell know what my dad looked like in his late twenties from pictures. Microchip. <_<

Okay, like fountain of youth serum is better, but I'm sayin'...

Did you really have to tell me that? Honestly.
