Administrator Toups Posted December 11, 2009 Author Administrator Share Posted December 11, 2009 I know I'm sweating a bit because DAYS was down big this week, but their first quarter demos are still amazing at a 1.5 rating. Now if DAYS falls to a 1.2 or 1.3 for the 2nd quarter, I'm going to be sweating even more.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Yes, it was earlier this year. They have until early 2011, unless CBS has some out clause or decides to renew it in 2011.
Members JaneAusten
This show is such a fsr cry from where it was just a year ago. There were a few months it definitely seemed like it was on an upswing. The show is not so much bad it's just dull.
Members DRW50
I hope AMC's ratings gains aren't going to cause ABC to rehire Pratt. I really don't know what the cause is, it's not that AMC is a completely awful show, but...yeah. OLTL has a lot of problems but geez they don't deserve to be last place. GH -- pathetic. Why am I not surprised that the dud that is the Franco story and the sicko Niz and Michael loves to kill stories have chased viewers away.
Members mamasita
I would like to know in which countries BB is being broadcast because i see more international interest in ATWT and other soaps than with BB.
Members Southofnowhere
AMC is tied for last place in 18-49 with ATWT. a few 1000 total viewers is NOTHING when your last place in 18-49. It looks like AMC will be the next show to go. ABC only cares about 18-49&18-39 , total voewrs mean NOTHING!
Members Ann_SS
There isn't much difference between OLTL and AMC's demos so which ever one is cheaper to produce will survive longer.
Members AS THE WORLD TURNS
Is B&B getting it's renewal next year. A few years back I seen that Y&R was renewed until 2009 and B&B renewed until 2010 so did CBS renew B&B early.
Members Soapsuds
OLTL is next followed by AMC and GH. All of the shows have the same demos and HH's/Viewers. Seriously ABC could pick anyone to cancel at this point.
Members JimTolkien
Awwwwwwwww..the Y&R ratings went down!!! Dull show deserves dull ratings!!
Members JaneAusten
Frons seems to have a hardon for AMC and AMC is moving to the CHEAPER LA so I suspect OLTL. And bite your tongue Carl there is NO WAY they can hire back Pratt. Well of course they could but I duth protest. Once ATWT goes, it looks like all 3 ABC shows may be rotating for last place week after week. And sorry I just don't buy GH is happy with their ratings with their big draws of James franco and JJ and the great storylines playing out for each one of them.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz OLTL proves quality does not equal viewers. I'm actually kind of surprised Roscoe's return hasn't been a higher draw for them.
Members AS THE WORLD TURNS
OLTL is cheaper to produce but I thought ABC didn't care about OLTL and will still cancel it even if it's higher in viewers then AMC and GH which is stupid if true. Members Gray Bunny
For real! And Y&R always, always, always has well over 1 million male viewers. Granted, they're probably older viewers. But that's where your ads for Viagra and Dulcolax stool softener can come in.
