I haven't seen any of his work so I can't say but he looked a bit old and it seemed like John Reilly had been a big hit with viewers. Do you think their firing that Dee was a mistake? Those actresses played out the Beau,Dee,Annie story. Dee was offscreen for several months before Jacquie arrived.Julie Ridley was also new as Annie. Doug Marland had no interest in either character and that was really the end of the Stewart girls. In the case of Annie,it was understandable to some extent as the character had been married 3 times and was the mother of quads. Dee,however had a lot of potential as John's ex wife and a young single woman. In the mid 80's,following general SORAS rule the quads could have come on the show as the new teens.That would have given Ellen more to do and kept Pat Bruder on the show. Marland clearly respected and mined ATWT's history but when he didn't want a character to be a part of that history, boy, they sure weren't. I never knew a darn thing about Annie or Dee until I got the ATWT history book, and I was shocked to learn Lyla had a sister Maggie, or a daughter Cricket. I think I remember seeing them at the Hugheses' house for some holiday or get-together on YouTube, and I'm pretty sure it was from early Marland... The following Monday B&B premiered and ATWT went to the 1:00 hour. Dan Region tells the audience during the closing credits of the change.
