This is so true. I was so psyched to see Thom back, and Phillip being gay was like some fantasy come true. And then it turned to ca-ca right in front of my face. I thought that after 35 years of watching this show, I'd finally have a character I could TRULY identify with. I suppose I expected too much. I don't know who to blame.. the fans for complaining that faggots had invaded their show? CBS for telling her what to do? Her for not standing up to CBS? OR her for leading us on? I don't know...I just don't know what to think. And add to that the conflict of things this week that are interesting to me (Ashley reaming Victor, Jill vs. Jack as Jabot) As a fan of 35 years, I feel like I've had the sh!t beaten out of me.

Hell, I had pics of Rafe up for months, hoping it would go somewhere. I know folks here will remind us they knew from the beginning that a minor recurring character wasn't going ANYWHERE...but I sincerely hoped that MAB was being truthful, and she was doing a slow build of a recurring character.

I'm trying not to get dejected. Some of the spoiler forum casting rumors are also discouraging.

God, I can't believe people are still complaining about MAB. The worst thing that could possibly ever happen to this show (Braeden leaving, and possibly taking Scott with him) was thisclose to happening. For this viewer at least, that puts things into perspective.

The worst thing that could happen would be Sheffer gaining complete control of this show. If he did you KNOW it would look something like this: (At least we now know where Madonna got her Blonde Ambition hairdo)

If the show is that heavily tied to Braeden, who stopped caring years ago and whose Victor has severely damaged every character and storyline around him in the past two years, then they have a very rocky future ahead. That so much on the show even outside of Victor's story is so weak just shows why people should question MAB and her "vision". So far her vision seems to be through a chipmunk head.
