Seriously though, other JF having a drug habit which requires a quick infusion of cash for him to score and/or pay off his dealer, there is no explanation for him going on GH. No agent would ever advise their movie star client to go on a soap because it jeopardizes his A list celebrity status.

I disagree. It doesn't have to be drugs. There are other explanations:

Gambling habit

Sex addiction/hookers

Insane credit card debt

Invested too heavily in mortgage backed securities

Although IMO he'd be better off going the Cash4Gold route.

He'll need plenty of that Colombian marching powder to get him through scenes where Mo forgets his lines and starts looking around for the autocue. Also when JF gets that first script praising what an amazing women/mother Carly is.

LOL! Don't forget that Carly is the hottest woman that he has ever seen, step aside Haley Berry. JF could make two trips to his dressing room get a hit before Benard remembers a line. Being high will also get JF through Burton's blinking and pausing and Monaco's arm flailing.

But what if -- just if? -- this really were a last minute Frons/Disney mega-investment. A final last gasp attempt?

Sadly, this time there is no Gloria Monty equivalent to completely refashion the show for the modern era. It's just the same old JFP, plunking along.

Gotta be a hoax. Last I read (thanks, Perez!), since Johnny Depp may drop out of Pirates IV, Franco is one of the three top contenders to replace him. While that is a Disney project, I simply cannot fathom that he would consider a bottom-rated bottom-feeding soap opera.

Franco wants to be the next Captain Jack Sparrow and he wants to prove that he's willing to do ANYTHING to get the role. He's already proven that he's the type of actor who can go from indie film to bluescreen blockbuster without blinking. Being the soap fan that I am, I still would have urged Franco to reconsider. But I do think he's a gifted actor, and I will always appreciate him for channeling James Dean.

Unfortunately, he hasn't always chosen great roles since that time.
