I’d have to look at the timeline, but it appears that Denise was hired as Katie to replace Fran Myers as Peggy in the nurses station. Fran went to California and they needed someone behind that desk. Denise didn’t remember who she replaced in that “role.”

Alan said he couldn’t find THE CRADLE WILL FALL online/streaming but it’s been on YouTube for years.

Jerry seemed much more engaged this time and I’d love to see him again with his former love interests in a Ross-centric episode:  Sherry.   Liz.  Jane.  Toby.  Kathleen.  Maureen.  Jean Carol.  I’d love to see Mary Kay Adams in there too and hear why India/Ross didn’t happen.

Until my dream episode of Mart, Lenore, Maureen, Millette, and Fran...I’ll keep watching but the “older” the better!

Did anybody catch today's reunion? Was anything remotely interesting said? (this is me blatantly trying to save me 1 hour of my time haha)

I find it a bit annoying that Alan tries to keep it so PC. When Denise Pence had the courage to bring up Zaslow, finally something really compelling was being addressed. There was no need to dance around it because the fans were quite eager to get into details in the comments. The people who tune in for these things are die-hard fans and they are already disillusioned to the BTS drama.

@antmunoz Yes, they were saying in the comments that the woman was Peggy Fletcher.

Slightly OT topic about the '82 Emmys: Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin) apparently had a lucrative side hustle as the go-to composer for daytime. He also contributed the legendary "Stories of Our Lives" opening from '88.

It's the "Actors who were woefully miscast in their roles, and therefore forgettable, or actors who played irrelevant characters who added nothing to TGL in the first place" reunion LOL I'm joking. It's the Boudreaux family. I think that cool anecdotes can come out of these random reunions, even if the participants had minor roles. However I'm just dreading the tech errors that might have taken place this time (I suffer from secondhand embarrassment). Maybe I'll check it out tomorrow.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I do understand his POV but still. Things like the Zaslow firing happened almost 30 years ago. P&G has long forgotten about this and nobody cares - except for us. I don't see the harm really.

Mr. Tony Reardon..hot as hell..poor Frank Cooper was always a pale imitation.  I heard he was difficult but did Beacroft leave on his own and why was he never asked back as an older, wiser, even sexier Tony?  Wonder what he would have been like it Ehlers..or even Zimmer??Brown does look overjoyed at that time with GH GL was an also ran and that and the other ABC shows were getting all the press.

Denise said in her Locher Room interview how surprised she was that they used that clip at the ceremony for GL's Best Show Emmy.  It was pretty steamy and Greg B was delicious.  Not sure why he didn't go further with his career.  Always enjoyed him...

So funny to see him then looking like a nice young insurance salesman. 40 years later, he’s a leather daddy. All things considered, he’s aged well.

OT: I can’t with how extra both Tony Geary and Robin Strasser were when they won.

    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
    • I almost posted this because that was my initial reaction too:  this is weird/cringe, to sing around a piano after such a huge family shattering bomb was dropped.  But I got over that and just enjoyed her voice, the song and the montage we saw as everyone's emotions in the aftermath were pouring out.
    • The Equalizer original series was not a big hit yet it became a movie franchise and got a reboot series. The Equalizer reboot lasted 5 seasons, so one season longer than the original series.
    • Today is Sean Freeman's birthday

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content (e.g. their April Fools' Joke videos were clearly not filmed on 4/1/25), so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
