No, the Coopers lived above the diner and the garage (where Frank had a chop shop.) Pops died from inhaling smoke during the fire that Roger set to burn down some real estate that he could develop. He didnt mean for anyone to die but Pops moved like a real OLD person and shuffled and was trapped. That was the start of the whole Towers creation and that the old black lady owned the land and that was what finally started to turn Alex against Roger. That was when Zimmer was on her way out and Roger had crazy Reva pose naked for him and then was going to sell them to the Intruder to blackmail the Lewises for turning over their share of the Tower...but Billy and Vanessa tricked him into switching the pictures to the deed to the Towers land so Roger actually burned Reva's pictures instead of the deed. Sorry...those were the good old days were stories intersected stories and "stuff," happened every day. Ahhh, compare that to Wheeler's mopey "vision," for the show.

Brandon, do you have a transcript yet, I would love to read it. Despite her flaws Long was one of a kind on GL.

Well, that and because he actually lost control of the Tower to the Lewises, who paid fair market value to the old lady. Alex was always multidimensional..she was pissed that he cheated the old lady but also pissed that it failed and it cost Spaulding. That led to her actually believing what Ed, Holly Ross, etc were telling her about Roger. After Alex basically threw dirt in Roger's face for his failure, he jumped in the sack with Mindy, which led to his ultimate comeuppence at the Country Club.

I thought it would have been much better if she turned out to be a relative of Vera, Alex's maid...giving Alex and Vera a dramatic issue to deal with.
